I'm a beginner at origami, but I've gotten really into it lately because I decided to decorate my ceiling with hanging cranes in rainbow colors. I like it a lot because when I'm laying in bed without my glasses on, they look like fuzzy rainbow stars in the distance.

I just learned to make a few basic ones today. Hux and I made jumping frogs, and I made a turtle, a ladybug, a horse (it's so cool, it stands up!), a big monarch butterfly and other things!

Do you like origami? How good at it are you? What kind of things can you make? I wish I could do really cool ones like these:

I like origami but never got really good at it.

Dr Unne sent me several pieces for christmas a couple of years ago, and they're so awesome :)

Yeah, Dr Unne's are insanely good, I've always wanted one.

I'm afraid I still struggle with some diagrams. They just don't see clear to me. Origami is definitely one of those things that you can really see what your learning style is with. I don't learn well with random diagrams. :(

They always want me to use an exactly square piece of paper and fold it just so-and-so so it comes out like magic. My paper doesn't come in squares. I'll never have square paper :(

I have never tried origami, but some pieces are really impressive. Dr Unne also sent me a box of his work several years ago and the chocobo one (http://origamigallery.net/model/chocobo) especially was awesome.

I always ended up tearing up all the papers to pieces in blind rage. :(

It's one of those things that I'd like to learn. But currently I'm working on too many projects as it is. That dragon is stunning!
