Candles! Do you make use of them? I do it far too seldom, but I currently have a couple of them lit with the electric lights turned off. It's very cozy! Tell me thoughts on candle and candle-related anecdotes, but mind your hair and other flammables!

We use nice scented candles to get rid of the boy smell in our house :D

I love watching candles, very relaxing!

I don't trust anything that smells better when on fire. That's mumbo jumbo I don't need.

nice thing about not living in dorm = candle time :)

I don't burn mine very often because my dad always bitches at me about how they leave soot patterns on the walls and ceiling; maybe i'll get a little heater pad for them.

at first i found Candles to been incredibly cheesey, but it was a secret guilty pleasure I would always really enjoy them during a black out.

More recently I don't mind them at all, I rather enjoy them. My housemates have candles around the house some nights, It's a lovely peaceful/mellow atmosphere.

I think they smell great :D burning is one of the best smells because it means warmth and security against animals and food-borne germs

Pumpkin nutmeg is the best candle scent ever imo. I also have a santa claus candle that's almost thirty years old I think, it just like a beige clump with chips of red and black paint on it. His home is under our sink for most of the year.

Unexpected blackouts are about the only times we've used candles. We can't all be hopeless romantics like Christmas.

I love burning candles, I have some great Emily Strange saint candles. I want some actual saint candles, I'm not Christian but they just look so awesome. The mission for today may be go to the Mexican shop in Camden and see if they sell them.

I'm reminded of the Great Ice Storm of '96 when I think of candles. No power all night in the entire city, except for McDonald's. Never figured out why. (You can tell how awesome my hometown is by reading Great Ice Storm of '96 and then seeing that it only lasted a night.)
