Least Favorite Black Mages Song?

This is not a "I hate The Black Mages" topic because I do like a lot of their music. It's just no one is perfect and they've made some inferior or just bad songs. I want to know what people here think.

Think I agree with Seymour Battle. Didn't actually like the original either.

But Grand Cross on the other hand is great I think! One of my MOST favorite songs OVER ALL :D
Though I like the Black Mages' version least.

Piano > Original > Black Mages ;P

The original is good. It's just the BM version is not only inferior to the original, their version just sucks.

Which was the reason I have the two categories. Some songs are good but nto as good as the original and some just suck.

Grand Cross was painfully disappointing. Who would've thought they would actually try taking the MIDI sequence of the original track, changing the sound of a couple of instruments and then having a guitar in drop C tuning chug open chords throughout and pass it off as a "hard rock arrangement"?

I know people complain about Those Who Fight Further getting a similar treatment, but that was a rock piece to begin with, so a carbon copy with realistic instruments was the only appropriate treatment to give it. Besides, if people complain about it being a carbon copy then why the smeg do they like the other carbon copies so much? Bah.

I didn't like Otherworld as much as the original. Grand Cross was.. not my cup of tea at all. I don't think Distant Worlds nor Darkness and Starlight worked properly either.

Grand Cross is probably the only one I would say I didn't like though. The rest of the songs more than make up for it :D

I disliked Battle With Seymour out of all of The Black Mages tracks that I have listened to.

This is mainly due to the fact that this is one of the newer songs in the list of covers from the Final Fantasy series, and I am not sure if the song really needed that type of remix. I am a big fan of battle themes, but this was one of my most disliked battle themes.

One of my friends recently flatly claimed that "the Japanese can't sing". I didn't want to agree with him at the time, but if this is the best Maria they could get...

I don't like any of their songs with lyrics it it. It is exceedingly rare I can get into a vg song or remix that has singing.

Fight With Seymore really bothers me somewhat.
Although OST remakes that add singing usually ruin the song, I found The Skies Above to be pleasant.

I downloaded a Black Mages song called "Maybe I'm a Lion", and it's very bizarre, which makes me question the download, and it sucks. Yeesh.

Nah, it didn't, personally though, I would rather the one against Seymore Flux, but I'm not sure if they did it before.

Yeah, that's probably my favorite battle theme in the game! I think it would have the same problem though.
