Has anybody ever heard of these guys Ken Arkind and Panama Soweto? They're a, I dunno, poetry/comedy duo. Can't think of what their official title would be. The Dynamic Duo is what they're called.
Here's the story of how I found out about these guys. Earlier tonight I went to a local coffee shop where my friends' band was playing and there was a local poetry slam going on after them. Me and my friends hung around the shop talking about this and future shows when these two guys come running into the shop like they were trying to catch a bus. I didn't think anything of it. We went into the room where the performances are held and those two guys were setting up to do their thing so we decided to stay for a while. I ended up staying through their whole set. Whenever I think of poetry slams I think of those quiet people in their berets, smoking cigarettes, and snapping their fingers instead of clapping. This was far from it. I can't fully explain what I saw but it was incredible! Check out the links up above.
Apparently they weren't from around here. They came from Denver to do this show. They do this regularly, run around all over to do shows.
