I'd really like to get this game, but some sources are giving it a bad rating (while some are saying good things too), and I can only afford to buy a select few games per year. I'd like to get the opinion of other final fantasy fans on the feel of the game, and whether or not its worth the $50.

Thanks

I don't have a Wii and never really paid much attention to the FF games that are not either main series or direct spinoffs of main series games, so I more than likely will not end up playing it.

It looks fun though, but nothing like an FF game...it looks more like a GTAish sandbox game honestly.

I've been in love with the FF:CC series since the first game, and so was super excited about this one . . . but the more gameplay video I saw the less excited I got. It seems to have zilch to do with FF:CC except the four tribes (Selkie, Clavat, Yuke, Lilty).

Far too tech-y for my taste. And the battle system looked stupid. Where did the swords and spells go?

And then I watched some reviews (three: IGN, Game Trailers, and an indie one) and they all basically said it sucked and that everything that was good about the first three FF:CC games was absent this time around.

I don't think I'll bother buying it.

It's a fun action game, but it's not FF in any way except like, chocobos and moogles. I think most people would be able to have fun with it if they just see it for what it is.
