What in the hell are you talking about? The only thing that he said was that the current formula of Final Fantasy will change, not that the series is going to end or be dropped as the flagship. There's no reason to think that the game will be developed by a different company; the worst thing that could happen is that Final Fantasy might be developed in the West (and hell, it might not even be a bad thing). Do you even know what that means? That means very little, and it holds about as much weight as me saying that I could :bou::bou::bou::bou: a diamond out of my ass.
People say a lot of things. Very few of those things actually happen. Chill the fuck out.

I assume your referring to this article! (http://www.next-gen.biz/magazine/an-audience-with-yoichi-wada)
Why would they end one of the most well known franchises? It makes them too much cash for them to simply stop making them. Anyway people jump to conclusions. He never said “FF XIV is the last game.”
If it were to be done by a different developer however I would like to see what BioWare does with it.

To be fair, he didn't even explicitly say that. He simply said he'd like to see the FFXIII team do something new. That could mean something as drastic as taking the series in a completely new direction, or as innocuous as using a new battle system. It could even just mean that the team might work on another smaller project in between XIII and the next FF, or that another team may work on the next FF while they do something else.
A world of possibilities with something as vague as the statement he made.

Chances are, if they did outsource to another company they will pull a DQ as Bolivar pointed out to me in another thread. Basically the story and themes will be developed by SE employees but the rest will be made by another of course if you pay attention, Wada is mostly being hypothetical and I highly doubt he would outsource a numbered FF except perhaps as an experiment or when all the talent over there finally drys up.
I wouldn't take these words to heart, especially if Wada does believe Japan has a future in returning to its #1 status. I can see him doing what he has been doing lately with a lot of his games and have them developed together with another company. TWEWY was developed by SE and Jupiter, not to mention the III and IV remakes were developed by Matrix. This is hardly end of the world news and its very unlikely the series will completely dry up, chances are they'll release numbered entries more infrequently while they begin to slowly franchise the rest of the series.

12 years later and they still stands!
Wish the quality of their games can stand as high as their cocks though.
