Do you have any fears? If so, what are they?

My biggest fears are:
Spiders
Moths
Clowns
The dentist

Also, tell us about some sort of funny story relating to them, if you have one. :jess:

I have a kinda funny story (well it wasn't funny for me at the time), to do with moths. It was one day last year and I went into the bathroom to have a shower, as soon as I walked in I saw about 6 or 7 big moths on the ceiling/walls. I tried to get close to the shower but I really couldn't, I was actually shaking, it was so scary. I was at home alone so there was no one around to get rid of them for me, I really needed to wash my hair though, so I went downstairs to the kitchen and washed my hair over the sink with a jug. xD When I told my mum she was laughing at me, I guess it does sound pretty silly, but I can't help it. :shobon:

I'm petrified of zombies (I know they aren't real, but just the shear THOUGHT of them scares me!) crane fly and being in an enclosed space for any period of time.

Heights, spiders, wasps (in that order). Only certain kinds of heights, though, because I'm perfectly fine in airplanes or on bridges.

I don't have funny stories about my own fears, but Jojo is also afraid of spiders and in the past when she has found one and no one else is around, she breaks out every chemical cleaner in her apartment and sprays it to death, because she's too wimpy to get anywhere near them. It once took about an hour of on-and-off spraying, and I was talking to her right afterward and noticed she was actually a little high off of all the chemicals. It was amusing in a pathetic sort of way.

I'm scared of needles and knives and the dark, but most of all, I'm scared of the thought of my house being broken into or invaded, especially if those people wanted to hurt me. That's the scariest thing to me.

If that ever happened to me, even if nothing had actually hurt me, it would be game over. It'd be done. I'd have to move out of that place. I would never be able to live there again. And sadly, I'm not exaggerating.

Sharks, never been close to one but... if one day I find myself in the ocean, and see a great white shark charging at me, I'll die of a cardiac arrest before he reaches me

That and spiders, tornadoes, androids/cyborgs/robots, being raped (even moreso after an incident where i thought i was going to be), being buried alive, drowning, any unfamiliar bugs...

I have loads of fears. :(

Well, see, I watch a lot of horror movies, and read a lot of horror books, and I'm deathly afraid that something that's happened in one of them will happen to me.
Oh and natural disasters. Like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.

Zeldy and I continue to share an irrational and extreme fear of zombies :p

I am also terrified that I won't get my 360 in time for ME2 being released.

I'm afraid of things that are likely to kill me. Spiders don't scare me unless I know they are poisonous or I don't know they're not.

I also dislike cliffs and those glass window-walls. Fuck that :bou::bou::bou::bou:. Falling to my death would suck.

the robot revolution. the automatic towel dispenser in the bathroom doesn't give an acceptable paper towel to hand ratio. ten years from now the sink will be saying something anti-semetic and shooting soap foam in my eyes.

Falling, spiders, open water.

I seriously fucking hate spiders. I'd be lying if I said I don't scream like a little girl if I even see one. I used to have a brown patterned bedspread and one day I go to lay down and I barely saw this giant brown spider (it looked like a brown recluse but everyone swears we don't have those here) on my pillow. It was massive, and that's not an exaggeration. Shrieking like a madman I pick up a shoe and swing at it only to miss, scare the bastard, and send him running under my pillow and down under my bed. I refused to sleep in my room until the damn thing was found.

My biggest fear is a world-altering event that seems remotely mystical. It won't matter if there is a scientific explanation. People will become Fred Phelps. Say the sky turns maroon and remains that way. The world is ending, let's panic! Now think if something actually dangerous is happening. It doesn't matter what the truth is at that point. Afraid of zombies? We're talking zombies with brains, masses of people that turn against anyone rational, and the rational would be the minority. I'm talking sacrifices and :bou::bou::bou::bou:. You could say I have no faith in mankind, but I honestly believe that's how it would go.

Oh, and child stars growing up.

Getting pregnant and/or an STD.

When I lost my virginity I was dumb enough to do without protection (not that stupid anymore!) and thought I was pregnant because my period came late. I was terrified.

I can never stare straight towards people's faces when I talk to them because of that.

Kind of strange, seeing how eye contact scares me (not really scares, but makes me feel uncomfortable and insanely shy and embarassed) more than what scares normal people like chainsaws, spiders, snakes, and the like. Weirdly enough, those latter things I listed barely scare me.

Drowning (the ocean mainly at night) wich is wierd because I dive.
normally there is no problemes, but right as dusk sets the water takes on a sureal look like oil on top. And I look around , the waves brakeing behind me on the rocks, and relize I've go to make it back thru in the dark again.
I would have to say that is the only reacuring fear I have, strangely it attracts me.

I'm just the opposite
I'm one of those people who are oddly comforted by eye contact. I dont like it when Im talking to someone and they don't make eye contact. Idk why
