Round 1 has been pretty much a gimmee. It should get interesting once we get further into it.

I have a hard time believing Locke won't win, but we shall see! Mog, Celes, Terra, any of those could take it.

Actually, Shadow is just generally more awesome than Relm because he pops up and dissapers randomly and has a dog named Interceptor. He's also manly. Like... VERY manly. Is Relm manly? I think not.


And almost all the matchups were pretty one-sided. Not just Shadow vs Relm.

Elite 8 has ended. Here are the (surprising, to me) results:

As Cyan started to charge his sword attack, Locke proceeded to mug his items while also beating his ass. However, Locke failed to notice Cyan was in Migitek armor so his dagger attacks had no effect. After about 20 minutes Cyan finally finished powering up his sword skill and made short work of the 'treasure hunter'.

5. Edgar - 12
Mog tried to lure Edgar with a provocative dance, but Edgar likes the ladies, not the furry creatures, so he failed to be swayed. In his bag of tools he pulled out some pruning shears and shaved the poor moogle. Embarrassed, Mog fled the battle.

6. Shadow - 8
3. Terra - 11
Shadow threw everything but the kitchen sink at Terra but she easily dodged it by flying around in her Esper form. A well placed Firaga spell was all it took from there.

7. Sabin - 12
2. Celes - 7
'Ha ha!' said Celes, 'Your magic is useless against me and my runic blade!'. 'Uh,' said Sabin, 'my blitzes aren't magic...SUPLEX!' Bye bye Celes.

You people boggle my mind with some of these choices but that's the way it falls! On to the final four:

I voted Sabin b/c hes one of the 2 up there I actually use. I think Cyan sucks and I never use Terra once she's taken from you even though you get her back later b/c Celes is better imo.

Come to think of it, Edgar and Sabin would be a fun final match-up. Then again, they would have been a great match-up in any of the rounds.

I'd argue that Terra is better, she has a higher magic stat (second best in the game), better natural spell selection, and her Trance is infinitely more useful. She can make better uses of the flail weapons and she can equip all the game breaking armor and weapons.

Their only difference statistically is that Terra has higher magic power and M.Block but their physical is almost identical and considering that Celes needs swords to use Runic and Runic in of itself is useless in a game that makes magic unforgivably overpowered, I feel Terra has the edge with special. Trance for instance, is just horribly overpowered until the end of the game where esper building and super weapons make it obsolete in terms of its damage output but its defensive output makes Terra a near indestructible tank so its not entirely useless even in endgame, its just ludicrous.

Fresh from his epic win over Locke, Cyan thought he was king of the world. 'Your puny machines are no match for my cold steel!' But then Edgar pulled something out of his bag that even Cyan couldn't resist...the INTERNET! As Cyan surfed for porn Edgar quickly took him out with his chainsaw.

As Terra used her esper form in the last battle she was unable to use it here. How will she win? Sabin grinned as he prepared to take her out with a Bum Rush, but whoops he did incorrect Blitz input! Fazed, Terra was able to nuke him down.

This is it. Edgar vs. Terra. The tool man vs. the esper girl. With esper form fully charged, Terra morphed right away. Quickly Edgar pulled out his flashbulb and blinded her. Then, he pulled out the noiseblaster and sent her into confusion. These things were all to buy time until her powers wore off, and it worked. As her powers wore off Terra was momentarily dazed, and Edgar used this opportunity to chop her up with his chainsaw!

As a result of his win, Edgar will receive a number 1 seed in the upcoming FF Character Tournament.
