Hard to decide, because they're all pretty good. But which do you think is the best one !? My choice, The Mystic Forest

Here's a list of audio-only youtube videos for those who don't have the songs nearby :

The Mystic Forest is the best of all this music, in whatever form you hear it. I've heard a lot of awesome OCRemix's with that song too. But, it's truly hard to decide what the best song is on a soundtrack so utterly perfect.

I think I go with Tina, it is beautifully adapted from the original theme.

However, The Decisive Battle turned into a massively big scad of :bou::bou::bou::bou:. It doesn't even sound decisive anymore, and they left the best part out..

I disagree. I am a big fan of battle themes, so I was glad that one was included in the Final Fantasy VI Piano Collection. I voted for Tina over Decisive Battle since I like the world map theme a little more than the boss battle theme for this game.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Decisive Battle Theme itself, but the piano version just doesn't sound like a Battle Theme anymore. The beginning from the Piano Collection's version is alright, but if you compare the whole song to.. FF7's Fighting from FF7's Piano Collection for example, it seems to lose all the action it before had..

I'd disagree myself. I actually wish sometimes that the piano version was in the game. I think it still has that driving feel that a battle theme needs.

That said, I voted for Tina. The Mystic Forest and Decisive Battle are great and all (hell, all of it is great), but Tina has always been one of my favourite songs in FFVI and the piano version is absolutely fantastic.

I wish, this would be an option of the poll - it is not the original version you hear in Final Fantasy VII, but it is part of Square's piano collection and you can hear it at the end of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children:

YouTube - FFVII Piano Collection - On Our Way (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79S6suhtWkY)

I love "On our way" much more than the Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII because in my opinion it is more nostalgic and a sad but at the same time a nice melody. I love it when you arrive in Junon for example and this theme is played. So for me this is the Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII. When I hear it I have to think about the first time I have played it more than with another theme.

Isn't CHAOS grand? :D

Also Tina is just a beautiful piece and I feel the Piano version is easily one of the best versions of the theme. :ffvisad:

Tough choice. I'd have to go with Kefka, but Terra, Stragus and Mystery Train are my favorites.

Spinach Rag and Johnny C. Bad would definitely be at the top for me, those tracks are meant to be played on a piano. However Kids Run Through The City and Phantom Train are both pretty good tunes, and anyone who doesn't like the Kefka theme is bonkers.

The original Kefka song is without a doubt one of the best in the game... but the piano version, meeeh I don't know, disappointing

Celes theme. It almost makes me cry. I has a nostalgic attachment to it, I dunno why but it feels as if it is reaching into my soul, that I don't believe I've even got!
I think I'm gonna start playing FFVI soon, best OST, best storyline, best characters, best overworld, best gameplay and best FF ever,

Mystery Train. I'm always taking my time on the Phantom Train so I can enjoy the music. The setting, music and plot make the Phantom Train one of the most enjoyable parts of the game for me and I'm saddened it's not longer.
