For some reason Final Fantasy enjoys destroying it's final dungeons during the ending sequence. Whats you favourite final dungeon collapse/explosion?

Temple of Chaos enjoyed over 1000 years of life after the final battle in FFI :)

I'm going to go with FFVI, the escape scene actually added to the game. In general escape scenes (in media in general) seem really anti-climactic to me, as eliminating the antagonistic threat is of far, far more important than having the heroes live through it.

Yeah, VI's final dungeon destruction seemed to be the most significant.

I liked IX's. The final dungeon didn't so much explode as stop existing or whatever, but the Iifa's Tree's roots and stuff going out of control was neat. Second would be Kefka's Tower collapsing.

Probably Kefka's Tower collapsing. It was suitably epic and had lots of funny or emotional scenes for all the characters.
