Have you ever been snowed in? :snowman::omg:

It snowed here on January 5th and all colleges and schools were closed. I know this for a FACT because sooo many facebook groups were made about it xD but it never happens here! it was amazing! I made a snowman when I should have been in class! They stayed closed for 3 days, it was amazing.

Yes, I've been snowed in last year during the blizzard in December. I was supposed to be somewhere, but I couldn't go anywhere because it was too dangerous to drive on the roads. It sucked, and it sucked even more since I was also not feeling very well either. :/

You're getting our leftovers. There's a thick sheet of crunchy ice outside.

I gambled yesterday that we would be out of school today, and left town before the roads froze over. The only problem is that my windshield froze over, leaving my vision severely impaired, since my defroster doesn't work (it might work, but the fan control is borked, so it won't blow at the windshield.) I had all the vents turned up as high up on the roof as I could, and was wiping the fog off the inside of the glass for a two and a half hour drive. For thirty miles, I followed a wrecker truck's taillights because I could not see the lines on the road. I didn't know it was a wrecker until I pulled off in Alma and met it in a gas station parking lot. I'm sure they saved my life, and I told them as much.

There wasn't much ice on the road, fortunately. My problem was just the severe inability to see. My windshield wipers were coated in ice like the tree branches are today.

I'm safe with my family (if not my friends) and my cat and my animals, lots of coffee, etc. I've also got some of my taxes done. I'll upload some pictures of the ice later. It's not as spectacular as the ice last year or in 2000, but it's not so bad:)

My only regret is that there will be awesome snow in Fayetteville, and good chances to hang with friends that I"m missing, but I had some things that needed to be done here at home, in addition to the rest of it.

No snow yet, but we're supposed to get 6-10 inches tonight and tomorrow, which is an almost unheard of amount around here.

I've been back in Germany for two weeks now and it's snowed at least every other day. None of it is melting either.

Last year we got about 5 feet of snow. It was the most snow I'd ever seen up here.

Do they not sell ice-scrapers and deicer sprays over there?

My city averages less than 12 inches of rain a year, snow is almost unheard of.

"Snow has been recorded falling on San Diego communities only five times in over 125 years of record-keeping[3]. Snow flurries were last seen in San Diego on February 15th, 2008, and the last measurable snowfall to hit various neighborhoods and suburbs around the city fell on December 13th, 1967. In winter, light snow is common in mountainous regions of east San Diego County above 3000-4000 feet; one can sometimes see snow-covered mountains from San Diego. [4]"

Yes, but you can't use an ice-scraper while you're driving :)

We got 6-8 inches last night, and it's still snowing. Pretty much everything's shut down. My roommate was bemoaning the fact that this didn't happen during the week so classes would have been guaranteed to cancel.

It's also bloody cold. It went from moderately sunny and in the 50s yesterday to snowy and in the 20s today. I'm not exactly "snowed in," but I'll be hanging out inside today.

Unbreakable Will

Yeah, everythings covered in at least a good 8 inches here. No way Im gettin anywhere for the next few days. >.> Nobody salts the roads where I live.

Besides from the super-snow when I first arrived in England, it's been about 35-40 F°, and has even hit 50 once and awhile. Pretty nice and warm! And it's mostly been sunny. I'm so happy we're not having anymore snow lately. I can't stand it anymore!

I'm in Kentucky, and I'm snowed in at my moms. Theres a good 7 inches outside on the ground, and the roads got about 3 inches of snow with ice underneath it. No ones came out today, the mail didn't even run.

I just spent the last 20 minutes digging my car out. I change my estimate of 6-8 inches to closer to 10 inches. We got a :bou::bou::bou::bou:ton of snow for this area.

Cleaning my car off was relatively easy, though. The snow is very soft. If I waited until tomorrow morning, it'd probably be 10 inches of snow encased in ice and I'd need a pick-axe to get my car out.

Unbreakable Will

Oh, it's a species called the Arkansan Blood Tree. Pretty rare outside of this area. You learn not to walk under them after getting your clothes stained a few times by the blood of the damned.

I'm worried for people stuck on the roads, we've had two major highways closed down, but I really, really love this kind of thing. Just went down the street to our convenience store for a couple tasty treats to get us through the next couple days, now just stayin' in, snuggling, playing video games.

It's great!
