FF8 Esthar, Probably the largest (you get lost easily)..

Midgar theoretically is massive and multi-leveled, but you don't actually see much of it. But for the amount of space you actually wander around in, I think Esthar is the biggest, though I may not be remembering it entirely accurately.

I think it's Midgar - it might seem quite small on the world map, but it is a gigantic place. Esthar on the other hand is pretty big on the world map, but I don't think it's actually as big as Midgar. I think Zanarkand is even bigger than Esthar, but I decided that Midgar was bigger than Zanarkand. Not sure, though.

Hard choice, it depends what scale you look at really if you just go by where we get to walk around with characters or all the many different buildings and places we see during FMVs. Overall I think Esthar wins it though.

That's my guesstimate. Esthar, when looking at it, had a lot of tubes and so forth but everything seemed very spread out, similar to Auckland in New Zealand which is, I think, larger geographically than London despite London having about ten times the population. Midgar, however, has slums, upper and lower cities, etc. etc. which seemed to me to be massive. So yarrr. Zanarkand might have managed to have a higher population than Midgar before it was destroyed, but it's hard to say. It still came across as less densely populated than Midgar, although like Esthar it seemed to be bigger in geographical size (although not even close to as large as Esthar itself, which is insanely spread out).
