Hello everybody,
Recently I have been looking at final fantasy concept art. Studying this kind of thing myself, I have become curious. What do the artists use to color it in? Is it done digitally through a program like photoshop or illustrator or do they paint it themselves?

It depends on the artist....

Most often enough, concept sketches start with stationary tools (pencils, color markers etc.) Only when the design phase comes towards the final drafting, the artists work is scanned and digitally painted onto it.

Tablets and illustrator software tools are vital for any design industry.. Most young artist these days immediately train themselves onto these software tools.

However it is important to note that you must adept enough to draw on pencil and paper, because they are foundation for any creative artist out there.
