So I was looking at the picture thread and everyone seems to be posting photos of their siblings, I don't really have any decent photos of mine and I don't know if I'd want to put pictures of them on here anyway. So I decided to make a thread where we can talk about our brother/sisters (or lack of). :p

I have four brothers and one sister:
• Matthew (Age 22) - He's super over-protective of me, we argue quite a bit but generally get on well.
• Oliver (Age 20, almost 21) - I don't really see a lot of him, his life is pretty complicated at the moment, but we have a laugh. Also, he has a 9 month old daughter who I adore.
• Thomas (Age 10) - He's pretty well behaved, but can be annoying. Also, his birthday is on Christmas day. :}
• Daniel (Age 8) - This one is a little devil, but absolutely hilarious. The things he comes out with have me cracking up all the time. :jess:
• Emma (Age 5) - She's a right little copy cat, seriously, she like copies everything I do. She also likes to go through my stuff, mainly my make up.
Here's a fun fact, all of our middle names begin with a J, because both of my parent's do so they thought they would carry on with the trend. :p

So, tell us about yours. :choc:

My older brother is 26 and an ex-infantry member of the US Army. He is twice the size of me (in a non-fat way) and can snap me in half. I know this because he's tried and almost succeeded.

My younger brother is 19 and a pirate. Seriously. He was born with a condition that made one leg drastically shorter than the other and he likes to hit people with it. I tortured him as a child so his favorite target is usually me.

I am not posting any pictures of them.

I have a fifteen-year-old brother. We used to fight constantly, but now that we don't fight over the PS2 anymore we get along well. When he's not accusing me of stealing his soda or something anyway. The last time that happened everyone was yelling in my face so I had to yell in their faces so doors got slammed and stuff fell off the wall. And I really didn't steal it!

He used to be very obsessive about the amount of food we had in the house and whether or not he got his fair share of it. He would constantly keep inventory of the foods he liked. I remember once when he was twelve or so we had a dozen glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme in the back fridge. He was upset that they had gone so quickly. I had eaten two and my parents had each eaten two. His response to that? WELL I HAD MORE THAN THAT BUT ONLY SIX. YOU'RE LYING JESSICA YOU ATE WAY MORE THAN TWO!

He's stopped doing most of the typical annoying little brother stuff, but he tried pot for the first time recently and now it's all he talks about. One day when I was going to see my friends he wanted to come with me and I was like, "yeah sure, I've been meaning to invite you along anyway." It turns out he just thought they'd have pot because they were older and he wouldn't stop talking about it the whole time he was there. I really hope it's just a phase :eep:

I've met two of my three siblings, but I haven't actually, really talked to them. Supposedly, I have two older brothers and an older sister.

My older brother just turned 27, has a fiancee and two kids, my nephew who is 2 years old and my niece who is ~6 months. Super cute kids. My brother and I used to be at each other's throats when we were tiny. During our teenage years we didn't pay much attention to each other at all, but now we get along pretty well. We're currently discussing potentially starting a small-time business together. He's more outgoing and less socially awkward than I am, but also more short-tempered and rash.

I'm 22.

My two younger sisters are currently in their sort of awkward teenage years, but they're brilliant. The older one is 17, she's more like me temper-wise, while the younger one is 15 and more like my brother. Those two are thick as thieves.

I have two brothers and a sister.

In order of age:

Suzanne (25) - Doctor, married and now pregnant, so sits at home.
Sebastian (23) - Working on an Mechanical Engineering degree after being an accountant, and not liking it.
Dennis (21) - Me! : D
Jonathan (14) - High school kid.

Can you guess who was the mistake? xD

That's funny that you and your brother didn't get alone, while your sisters with the same personalities do. Heh.

I have one brother, who is actually my half-brother. He's 26 years old and I think he spoils me too much sometimes. :|

I have a little brother that is 5 years old. I'm assuming that he hates me even though I don't actually know, since it's much more likely that he hates me rather than likes me.

Big bro (24)= the one who got me into video games. Has been my bff forever. He's a lot more socially awkward than I am but he's still awesome :D

Me (19)

Matthew (14) = Scene kid who loves skinny jeans and kicked some kid's ass for making fun of him and his friends. Plays drums for his church and for his band. Plays clarinet in band (following in my footsteps~) doesn't have a girlfriend but wants one. Pretty neat kid but has authority issues.

Christopher (11) = clown. Takes next to nothing seriously. Good at impersonating people in his classes that he doesn't like. Likes to follow the 14 year old around and has a lot of the same friends as him. Likes to cook. Has a strange fascination with Psy and AK. I refer to him as "short, round, and brown."

Tiffany (8) = Insecure, whiny, manipulative little bitch who will cry at the drop of a hat and threatens if she doesn't get her way. Has some sort of undiagnosed mental disability. Has a sweet side to her and when that particular side is showing, she'll randomly give you a hug and tell you you're awesome and draw you pictures.

Madison (7) = my mini me. She's a shy, quiet gamer chick in the making who loves to read and has a great sense of humor. Loves cat macros and other amusing things. Pretty intimidating to other kids when she's angry, which isn't very often.

Most likely because we both pwn him. :p Or the 2 hours I spend continuously splattering him with his own ghost and then ritually burning it to the ground. xP

I have two siblings, a brother and a half-sister.

Brother: 19-year-old, stoner, suspected high functioning retard (by me).
Sister - 7-year-old, bratty, loud, pretty damn smart apparently

I'm the middle child and has the 'Middle Child Syndrome'

Older Sis: turning 28 this year. She is opposite of me in every way. I am the bane of her existence... she did this to me for most of my life :leeza:..People have commented that she is a lot more Asian looking which is kinda true and some of the genetics come from Mongolia (as in Genghis Khan)
Now that's she been married for over a year now (someone actually married that creature?!) Things have simmered down now and we have a more civilized love/hate with each other.

She works as a Brand Marketing Manager for Multinational Company and super proud of her!

Younger Bro: is 23 currently but will be 24 in November. Pretty close to him as we have similar taste in music and clothing.(he steals my clothes a lot!!). He's a gym nut ( he's been on the highschool and uni varsity team). He's more mischievous and has these hair brain schemes from time to time. But he has a good heart and love him to death. Yes he was a rather spoiled brat but I still defend him..

I'm the baby and only have one sibling.

Jocelyn (26) - Married. She was running a bar a in Alberta until she got pregnant, now is a stay at home mom with her son, Logan, who is almost 3 months! :D As kids we fought like cats and dogs, though eventually she realized how much of a bitch she was, that was after she moved out. We're much closer now, though lately she starts acting more like a parent than anything. Is it something about having a kid that makes women decide to be your mother all of a sudden? Seriously, she worst than either of our parents now.

Ideologically, we're mostly the same. However, in personality, there's a lot of our father in her. This means she highly opinionated (i.e. she's right, you're wrong), stubborn and short-tempered (and sometimes crabby/moody). But that is sorta a given since she was always a daddy's girl and I was always a momma's boy. :/

Some of things u've mentioned is so true with my sister... And I am my mothers son as well...

Why do sons tend to be more like their mothers though...

Personally, I was always around my mom and she stayed at home until I was like 12. So I was quite close to her. Also, my sister was already a daddy's girl by then anyways.

XD Those are odd.

Your name is unusual too, but it's cute and it suits you and I could never see you being a Maddy.

I have one brother. He's 17, apparently looks just like me (?), and he's graduating High School in a few months. He's a video game nerd too and he's an artist, he's on dA and he's done some really great stuff, but it's mostly cute little anime cartoon type things. He has Asperger's and he's shy. He's a really nice and earnest kid.

Anyway, as for the topic.

I have an older brother, called Henrik. He just turned 30 a couple of days ago. He's a school teacher and lives with his girlfriend. He's the jock/guy's guy and I'm the artsy hippie type. We don't share any interests, hobbies or taste, but we still get along very well.

I also have a foster sister at the age of 14. Her name is Tippe. As any other girl in her teenage years, she can sometimes be quite the handful. She's lived with us since she was 8, since her mom is mentally ill (bipolar, scizophrenia etc.) and her dad, who's now dead, was a junkie. She's quite ditzy and can be very naive. Foster sister or not, she's like a real sister to me.

And so yeah.. I'm the one in the middle, at the age of 21.

I AM ALL ALONE IN THIS WORLD.

I have a lot of cousins though (almost 20), as both my parents have a lot of siblings who have in turn had a lot of children. I've never really been curious or envious of those who have brothers and sisters, but after reading some of the posts here, I'm beginnig to wonder what it may be like.

I've got three brothers, they're all younger than me,

One at 23, he's almost entirely bald and likes to crash cars and party hard. Despite this he is actually pretty smart. This is him on a pretty normal day (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1132077/images/n735138112_804856_2924.jpg).

One at 17. He's shaping into be about as much of a nerd as me.

One at 15, Idk really, he might turn out like my oldest brother.

I have one half-sister, and she's 11 (nearly 12 years younger than me).

Just a couple of months ago, I gained a couple of step-sisters, and they are... something like 30 and 32 (I forget exactly; I've only met them a few times). Both are very nice, and the older one is quite the character (in an outgoing, entertaining way).

An older sister who is 29. She is a medical billing specialist or something like that and lives on Long Island, NY. We're not much alike. As kids we got along okay but then she turned into a mega-:skull::skull::skull::skull::skull: and we always fought. This was seriously all her fault. I did all I could to just avoid her and leave her alone but she just couldn't stop and stay away. Now we get along okay. She is married with a daughter.

A step-sister who is 27. She's pretty awesome. We're not much alike personality-wise but we get along.

A step-sister who is 18. She's also pretty awesome. We get along pretty well. She's similar to her sister but less I'm pretty/popular and more just fun to hang around.

A half-sister who is 17. Haven't seen her much in the last 5 years so I have no idea :(

A half-sister who is 14. Haven't seen her much in the last 5 years so I have no idea :(

They're all on my mom's side.

Yeah, well, with divorce being such an easier process than it was, say, 30 years ago, it's hardly surprising. I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing that more families are breaking up because no one should be forced to stay in a relationship if there is no relationship, but divorce rates are only going to continue to go up in the western world and you'll see more and more people with half-sibling and step-siblings in time.

Disconcerting!

Please let this thread and the picture thread serve as reminders why you should never share your family with others; you shall regret it after all the hounding to get into your sister's/sisters' pants! Even your brother is fair game!

I have siblings and that is as descriptive as I get!

I have no siblings whatsoever, as I was a teen parent accident and their hatred of me took over a decade to subside xD Afterwards I think my dad wanted another kid with his new woman, but she didn't and then he died. And my mom and step-dad did want a kid but because of some surgery she had, she's unable to now :(

I'm glad we don't live up to your expectations :p Go judge your own family ;)

I have two half sisters by my dad, some nieces and step-nieces by them (step-half nieces!), and a half brother and half sister by my mom, and three nephews.

With my mom's kids, the half is purely genetic. AFAIAC, they are my brother and sister.
