How often do you replay FF titles?

Subject line says it all. How often do you go back and replay the old FF games?

FFI - Only replayed once in 8 years since I originally played it
FFII - Haven't beaten yet (Damn you PS3 Origins incompatibility!)
FFIII - Only played it on DS ~3 months ago. Will probably replay within a year
FFIV - Every 1-2 years
FFV - Every 1-2 years
FFVI - Every 1-1.5 years
FFVII - Every year
FFVIII - NEVER!
FFIX - Every 1-2 years
FFX - Only replayed it once, probably never again
FFXII - Never, keep wanting to give it another spin to try and like it, but always realize how much I don't.

FFV - Never
FFVI - Three times over a course of ten years, only finished it the first time
FFVII - Have replayed it in it's entirity a minimum of 15 times since 1998.
FFVIII - Replay it like every three years, complete it every time.
FFIX - Replayed once, finished both times.
FFX - Replayed three times I think, finished all four times.
FFX-2 - Replayed about ten times all the way through.
FFXI - Never
FFXII - Currently replaying it for the first time, having loads of fun doing so. :D

FFXII - I don't even remember where I am, over halfway at least

There's always a FF I replay every year. Some more than others because I might particularly like one over the other and i might had a bad experience with one and I just don't feel like going through it again.

FFI - beat it when it came out for NES, replayed four or five times in other formats over the years.
FFII - never finished.
FFIII - never finished.
FFIV - beat it when it came out for SNES, replayed two or three times on SNES, replayed once on PS1, once GBA, and once on DS.
FFV - beat it six or seven times on emulators with fan translations.
FFVI - beat it many many times on SNES.
FFVII - beat it originally on PC version, replayed five or six times on PS1.
FFIX - beat it two or three times on PS1.
FFT - beat it three times on PS1.
FFXII-RW - never finished.

Not very often. I've replayed FFT and FFVII a few times each, but that was it except for the occasional other game that I replayed maybe once (or only a partial playthrough): FFI, FFV, and FFVI. The others I've only played through once, at most.

FFXII- Haven't finished my first go yet.

FFI - Haven't beaten it. I got quite far into the GBA version, but I always get bored. The original version is worse though. It hasn't aged well.
FFII - Same boat as FFI really.
FFIII - I've owned the DS version for a year and a half but keep forgetting to play it.
FFIV - I've beaten it probably over a dozen times.
FFV - I've gotten as far as the very end but always put it down for a long time and never get around to beating it.
FFVI - I've beaten it probably 20 times at least.
FFVII - I've beaten it probably a half dozen times.
FFVIII - Replayed it two or three times maybe. Not in a long time though.
FFIX - I beat it once, with several attempts to play through again before I get busy and put it down for too long.
FFX -Beaten it two or three times.
FFXII - I've beaten it once. Haven't had time to tackle it again.
FFT - Beaten it twice over the years, with another partial play through.

As far as how often I replay any of them, I may play through one FF a year completely at best. I have too little time to play through them like I did when I was a kid.

Every couple of years I do a nice survey of one era. Last summer I re-played III(NES)-VI(3 GBA version I hadn't tried). A couple of years back I did VII-X. XII I haven't re-done yet. Despite being arguably the best game named Final Fantasy, it's just so exhausting and time-consuming and I can't really justify that kind of effort at the moment.

Thinking back, it makes me realize how awesome the series is. Even when it's not at the top of its game, it's imaginative and engrossing. (Even X has some great moments, and despite being generally :bou::bou::bou::bou:ty as a game they almost make one more play-through sound compelling and interesting.) Not sure how many other series (or individual games) can make that claim.

Anyway - got XIII today! Onward!

FFVIII - Beaten it once and started some weeks ago again. However, my PSP is bricked for the time being.
FFIX - Every year.. If there's time
FFX - Not that often, like three times so far, but the point is I'm playing on my old states over and over again. There are SO many challanges in this game, it's intriguing at this point.

Until recently, I had been playing Final Fantasy almost exclusively for 2-3 years, mixed in with a little Metal Gear, Dragon Quest, and Half-Life variants. That changed when I got my PS3 about a year and half ago, and since I've gotten heavily back into FPS and opened up to more genres like racing and action/adventure. I guess I was in a console transition phase where I just wanted to play my favorite games until the current-generation of games finally caught up to where they should be at.

Anyway, I've beaten every Final Fantasy at least twice, and have started or picked up old saves a lot more than that. Right now I have Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and Tactics on my PSPgo. I'm about to enter the Northern Crater on VII, I'm just messing around casually with Tactics, and waiting to start VIII when VII is over.

I keep FF1 in the PSP when I am bored and just turn around killing things. The DS has Chrono in it though you did not have that on the list of old time games. I think of those games as part of the family really.

Replaying the old versions is something I enjoy just for the music really and memories. I have FF 1 to 4 the original Japanese cartridges and turning on the Famicom brings great old days. When I am really up for challenge and need some mindless button pushing I toss in Dirge and shoot'm up some on all the missions you can over. I think CC has that too but I have never gone back to that one, love it but man it was a challenge at times.

I don't really replay many games, I only do it if I really loved the game or am really bored. I beat 6 twice, 7 twice and a half, 9 twice and got halfway through replaying 8 and 10 before being distracted by something and forgetting about it.

My plate has been filled lately thanks to MegaTen titles and me finally going back to my Fighting game roots as well as quirky titles from here and there so I feel a bit behind with some files. I've played through IV, VI, VII, and VIII so many times that I don't want to even bother making a guesstimate on these.

FFI - Only finished once but I've done countless files, my problem is that my NES copy is old and in bad shape so it freezes the game and erases my save files. Only beat it on Origins but got up to Tiamat in the PSP version.

FFII- Currently in my second playthrough and having a blast except for trying to level up magic cause I want to make a complete file.

FFIII - Also in my second playthrough and stalling cause I'm trying to get my friend to exchange letters so I can access all the cool content the game has locked away thanks to stupid Wi-Fi gimmicks. Screw you SE and Nintendo. :mad2: I'm currently trying to max out HP in my file and then will master all Job classes.

FFIV - Too many to tell, but I want another playthrough of the DS version cause its become my fave after the PS1 version.

FFV - 4 to 5 times and still always in the mood to play it.

FFVI - Too many to even remember, I want to do another playthrough on the GBA version and I still have a playthrough on my SNES that's unfinished.

FFVII - Too many to remember, just finished a run through last year when I was replaying through the PS1 generation again.

FFVIII - Too many to remember but possibly somewhere between 7 or 8 times. I need to get my Disc 3 repaired cause its scratch and I can't get past a certain point because of it. My last playthrough has been left unfinished.

FFIX - Despite really liking this game, I've only beaten it twice and my third playthrough is left unfinished cause I think the game is having compatibility issues with my PS2. Have to dig up my PS1 from the closet to finish this, I am literally at the battle with Necron but the game freezes whenever Necron uses Southern Cross. :mad2:

FFX - Three times, I like it less every time I play it. Though I do need to finally do a second run through of its sequel. :eep:

FFXI - Was really playing it again a few months ago but other things have come up. Its a great game but MMO's don't work with my lifestyle and gaming wants. I want to finish the story elements someday though, and hopefully them merging the Servers together can get me with some other EoFF members on Odin.

FFXII - Only beat it once, and I'm still amazed at how much I remember and got out of this game. Hell, I just recently buckled down and finished the Yiazmat fight finally so I have all Mark Hunts completed. I definetly want to replay this game soon but I may need to to wait til summer cause school and work interfere too much. I may even actually try to get the Zodiac Spear even though not getting it never bothered me.
