Sazh's flashback - Searching for Dajh and finding out that he's a l'Cie.
About a few seconds into the flashback, we see Vanille kneeling on the floor holding Dajh's hand while her head is down. Then she was taken away from Sazh. In this exact moment, Sazh should notice that Dajh is lying down on the sofa.
But that's not the case ... After Sazh removed Vanille, he started looking for Dajh. Blah blah and through out the flashback, Vanille was no where seen. It's almost as if she was a ghost.
How is that possible?
My guess? Sometimes, when revisting a certain flashback, a certain part of your subconscious will affect that flashback.
Sazh likes Vanille. He goes *whoa* when he sees her butt.
Sazh acknowledged that Vanille can cheer anybody, because she cheered Sazh a few times throughout the game. This gave Sazh more attention towards her.
So... When Sazh revisits that flackback, his subconscious (which happens to include Vanille) affects it. Even though it didn't really happen.
