As I sit here snacking on a bag of peanut M&M's, I'm wondering which of the two basic varieties people like, plain or peanut?

I know there are others, like peanut butter, mint, those fancy dark chocolate exotics, etc... but this is all about the two old school varieties.

Oh, I'd take the peanut kind over plain any day. The plain ones kinda suck.

I don't mind either so it depends on what kind of mood I'm in, but I guess the peanut ones are my favorite. :omghey:

I like plain. I don't usually like having any sort of nut in my candy.

Since I am really allergic to peanuts, it's pretty obvious for me!

I don't like chocolate, but I will occasionally have a peanut M&M. I like peanuts.

For Christmas BJ's grandparents get all the grandkids a pound bag of peanut M&Ms, and we immediately give them all to BJ's sister. She ends up with like six bags, and goes through like one a month. It's crazy.

for me, peanut butter M&Ms *are* "basic" :)

I'd take peanut over plain, though

I think peanut M&Ms are disgusting - well I've never tried them, but I don't like peanuts, so I geuss that's that.

I freaking love the crispy M&Ms!

Also, I can't eat large amounts of chocolate, so the more room taken up by Peanut the better. Plus, they're just plain tastier.

I don't understand people that prefer plain over peanut.

I do love me some crispy M&Ms as well tho :P

Why anyone would ruin perfectly good chocolate with any kind of nut (or, more accurately in this case, a legume) is beyond me. Also, M&M's aren't Smarties. They do actually taste different.

Plain M&Ms are boring and not worthwhile, since you can barely describe their filling as "chocolate". Peanuts, almonds, peanut butter, etc all add worthwhile texture and flavor and legitimacy to the M&M.

Pretty much!

I ran out at just before midnight when the stores were about to close and bought some peanut M&Ms. I must have seemed so unusual.

Peanut Butter M&Ms are awesome. I thought they'd taste like Reese's Pieces, but they don't. And I love Reese's Pieces!
