What wacko remedies do you use for your hiccups? I've had them on and off all day :(

Go to a shock site that you've never visited before.

I, uh, ignore them. Works for me. *shrug*

Hold breath for 10 seconds, then 3 gulps of water.

I take a deep breath and hold it for 10 seconds or so, putting pressure on my diaphragm. That usually makes hiccups go away for me.

I just hold my breath for as long as I can, or until they stop.

I'm good now. I just distracted myself with Dissidia until they went away.

I once had the hiccups for a year, no joke. I would hiccup about 10-15 times a day for about 1 year. We would joke that I had "PHS" Perpetual Hiccup Syndrom.

Also I read the title and your name and thought Cousin Amy got you grounded somehow xD

I usually just concentrate on making them go away and they do.

Balancing a cup of water on chopsticks and drinking from it.

Or pass them to someone else.

Sing, sing, sing them away~!

That is how one gets rid of hiccups!

The lady is speaking the truth.

I just take a reeeeeeeeeeeally deep breath and hold it for a few seconds and it's gone. The depth of the breath is essential.

It's that, or asking Psy to show you the forbidden Quin picture. The latter works even better but the side effects are pernicious.

I've actually stopped sending that out now because of several impending law suits. :greenie:

Just do some light exercise.

I read somewhere to get rid oif them you just need to will them away & control them. It worked....once.

The ol drinking backwards works best.

This or holding my breath usually helps.

But Lord knows I hate hiccups!

Smoking a cigarette usually works, or I eat a spoonful of sugar.

Haha.

I think you need to just be told to stop.

Last time my girlfriend had the hiccups, I looked at her with a serious face and told her "Stop." and she stopped, she was pretty amazed herself.
