As you may or may not know I like interesting titles to my threads. Sometimes it only vaguely has to do with the topic but nonetheless it has some relation.

Tell me what makes a title great and what makes one boring? And any other opinions on thread titles!

The titles gotta be interesting.. How else am I going to get duped not knowing that the Cheddar Balls actually refer to the funk on people's feet rather than Cheeios! :jess:

Some of the weird titles can be funny, but I kinda like to know what it's about. I'm not fussed either way really, though. :shobon:

I'll usually check the topic previews of every thread unless it's clearly something that I have no interest in.

I usually can't tell what it is by the title, since this forum is awesome, so I hover my mouse over the title, and look at the preview.

Then, I post.

Make them funny. The thread title is not the indication of whether I click on a thread or not; the mouse over is.

But yeah, I'm fond of buttocks and it doesn't really matter what the title is as long as it interests me. I can't really say what interests me as far as threads go, though, because that information changes all the time! I will agree that post icons do give a thread a bit of extra flair, though.

I prefer to know what a thread is about by the title. If you can make it informative and creative then good for you.
