WHY SQUARE WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH

Are you gonna just let Valen destroy the world? ;_;!
What about poor Ruenis? ;_;!
What is this...Ephelsia City or whatever it was called? ;_;!

Discuss Square games you would like to see sequels to but haven't so far ;_;

Threads of Fate was pretty fun, mostly because of the bratty princess (playing as the boy was rather boring, I thought). Anyway, the obvious answer is Xenogears! I would rob an paraplegic orphanage if it would help fund more Xeno-ness.

Threads of Fate didn't have a sequel?

I'd much rather have another ToF than more of the crapfest that is Xenogears.

What game did you think was its sequel?

Threads of Fate didn't have a sequel?

They started a manga project, but it got scrapped :(

Threads of Fate and Vagrant Story are my top two choices of needing sequels.

As much as I love Xenogears, I feel the game is pretty self-contained and wouldn't need a sequel or even a prequel (though playing as Lacan would be kick ass...) but since most of the Xeno team is gone, it would probably feel like a shell of its former self.

I also need to do a shout out for The World Ends With You. Its also pretty much self-contained but a sequel revisiting the world and its gameplay mechanics would be awesome, not to mention its one of the first JRPGs I've played that would really kick ass with co-op.

Maybe every time I see a picture for Threads of Fate, I think it's its own sequel?

I know I've seen Lu's weapon in someone else's hands... Someone with a big hat. What is that? A game? A manga? An anime?

Very funny you mention that, Mercen-X, 'cause the main character from FFTA-2 (I think his name's Luso or Ruso or something like that) looks like the main character from Threads of Fate and even has a very similar weapon!

Other than that I haven't seen anyone else similar.

Threads of Fate was a pretty cool game. It was one of the first action-RPGs I really got into.

Yes, yes, yes. Heck, the original "Threads of Fate" needs to be played by more people.

However, since they don't make games that don't have "Final Fantasy" or "Kingdom Hearts" in the title anymore, it sadly will never be a reality.

..........Then again, we are getting the long awaited third installment of Parasite Eve. Who knows, maybe we'll get luck with one of the new hand-held's... Maybe... Maybe we'll get an Einhander sequel (yeah, right).

They just did Neir or whatever it was called. And if I remember, it didn't go over that well. Square's trademark seems to mainly be stick with what works and will guarantee money. And every once in a while try one thing new. EA got a lot of flack for similar business models. Until someone makes the point that the new sports game is basically funding games like Mirror's Edge

Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts funded The World Ends With You, Nier, and The Last Remnant

If they made a Threads of Fate sequel I would race to the store the second it came out and buy it, and if my car broke down I would steal some kid's bike to go get it.
