Garnet or Eiko?

Is she really? Discuss whether you prefer to use Garnet/Dagger or Eiko in your party.

I used Eiko more because she had Holy, and I never really bothered with summons in the game. Garnet had better summons than white magic, and Eiko's magic was better, so I used her.

Of course, there's the option of using both or neither, though I wouldn't know why you wouldn't want to use them. White mages are awesome :D

Eiko of course. I've never been big on using summons in the first place and her White Magic is better. Plus she can dual cast, even if most of the time it happens near the end of a weak random encounter.

I used Garnet more since by the time I got Eiko my Garnet had a bunch of spells so she was a better healer.

Both times I played FFIX, I used both of them! Zidane and Quina are enough for damage. xD

I probably use Dagger more at the end of the day, but overall I like using both of them. I like white mages.

It's a toss-up. Of course Eiko is the stronger fighter, and should definitely be used if you are underlevelled. But I always like having the main female protagonist in the group, in the case you'd miss some story. But I think her fighting ability makes Eiko the right choice.

Eiko's cuter too (I mean come on, she plays her flute when casting spells, and she gets wings in Trance mode) so I really didn't have an issue with ditching Garnet for the rest of the game. :p

That game is already pretty cute just by the normal people's models I don't need extra cuteness. Plus Eiko's dialogue always annoyed me.

I always found Zidane and Steiner's dialogue to be downright annoying, really. Eiko's just a kid. Kids are typically annoying, so it's forgivable, because she was in character. :p

EDIT: Then again, I guess they were in character, too. Steiner seriously annoyed me after a while, regardless.

I've only played through the game once (I think this summer I'll replay it along with Persona 4!) and I remember having a very hard time trying to pick between the two. Come endgame I was using Garnet though.
