Is also a neat show. Especially early on! It was silly when Joey dated Rachel for serious though.

Discuss the series with the biggest example of the will-they-won't-they trend!

I actually have every episode on DVD - it's a great show.

I love both Friends and The King of Queens. And I love it how Friends has the best sitcom series final ever.

Joey F. Tribbiani: "Name? Yeah, I know - Ross. But of what it's the abbreviation? Rossel or Rosstopher?"

I have the entire series on DVD too. It's definitely one of my favourite shows, and I have watched many of the episodes several times. It's just one of those shows that seems to never get old.

Chandler was my favorite character, especially in the earlier seasons.

Not to sound sexist but Monica, Phoebe and Rachel all really piss me off. So annoying. Kind of the reason I dont watch the show anymore.

Women are meant to be seen, not heard.

Friends was an alright show for awhile but then it got serious and the level of humor got considerably worse. Chandler was probably my favorite character and Ross was probably my least favorite. Joey was okay every once and awhile because slapstick is only funny once and awhile unless it is done by the Marx Brothers.

Ross was my fave in the later series's, especially when he had that breakdown lol

He could be annoying at times, but he had some great moments in that show. I quite liked The One With the Sandwich.

To be honest, I never found any of the main six anoying - I liked all of them. There were some "guests" I found anoying though (Emily, one of Ross' girlfriends springs instantly to mind here).

I think the humor pretty much worked throughout the series and the show worked better as a sitcom rather than a comedy (yes, there is a difference) it humanized the characters enough. The only drawback (and a minor one at that) is that I can't really find enough differences per-series to sepperate them enough so, if I was to judge Friends as a programme, I would have to judge the whole thing as apposes to per-series/season.

Note: Having seen the whole show, I really like watching the older episodes and seeing the Chandler/Monica scenes - it's almost like it's foreshadowing sometimes, it's kinda cool.

I had a Friends period last spring where I watched pretty much every episode, so now I can't even watch a full episode, I'll have to wait a bit until I see this show again.

Chandler is the best for the first five seasons, then Ross is the best for the last five. Everyone has their moments and episodes, so it's not possible to imagine the show without either one of them. Although if I had to pick the dullest, I'd have to go with Joey. He can get way too stereotyped and unrealistic at times.

I love Friends! I used to watch it since high school, I think. Maybe longer. Pretty sure I've seen every episode there is. I like all the main characters and don't really have a favourite. I watch it from time to time because it is the one show that can instantly cheer me up. I try not to watch the same season over and over again though because I don't want it to lose the "pick-me-up" effect, but that's cool because a season once or twice a year is more than enough

I had a dream with Ross in it last night. Weird.

I liked this show alright. I hated the will they/won't they Ross/Rachel thing. I hate stuff getting dragged out like that. That's why I like The Office; Jim and Pam got together and are staying together. ^_^

It's funny to me that this is still the coolest show ever in Europe and the UK for people my age.

I was a little young for Friends, though I had friends who loved it to bits. I prefer Seinfeld though, if I had to pick my favorite New York apartment building friends mash-up comedy from the 90s.

You know, having basically gone through the show a few times, the more I think that the whole On/Off thing for Ross and Rachel wasn't really that On/Off at all.

It's off for most of the first series, then its on later in the series, and in the next episode its off, then in a later series it's on for one episode, then off again, a few more series the same thing happens - then it's pretty much off for the rest of the show, until the final episode then its on.

Same here, it's one of my favorites - and I like all the main characters in it.

Also, I'm still trying to work out if one of the girls has OCD or not...

Phoebe was my favourite. One of my favourite sitcoms though they butchered it in Aus for a while when they were airing it around 6 and cut out all the sex jokes. There would be moments where they lead into a joke and then it cuts to the laughter after the joke.

Now that's just idiotic. I am glad I have the seasons on DVD. I hate it when everything is cut out.

They sometimes cut bits out in the UK depending on what time of day it is, which can look stupid at times. One of the worst ones is this one episode where Phoebe's twin sister stars in porn films, but uses Phoebe's name to do so - they cut out ALL mentions of the films being porn, the worst offence being towards the end where Phoebe embarrasses one of "her" fans by shouting at his girlfriend "Your pervert boyfriend watched me in a porno movie!" on the edited broadcast this became "Your boyfriend watched me in a movie!" which of course made zero sense. :roll2

I have probably seen every episode at least 3 times, so I just cannot stomach any more!

E4 is annoying.

I like the episodes where Monica isn't as prominent because that woman is a total psychopath and where there isn't too much of that romance crap. I couldn't stand seeing Chandler and Ross being the dickless men that they were and Rachel was just an annoying dramaqueen.

a loooooooooooong time ago, I torrented the episodes but I never got around to sitting down and watching it until very recently. Now, I'm addicted to it!!!

I'm on season 9 right now so I'm not done yet but I would love to give my opinion as of now. I love all 6 of the friends and I can't imagine the show without one of them! For a long time in the beginning, Chandler was my favorite because he was smoking hot! But then in the later seasons when he and Monica got married, he got kinda lame...

My favorite part of the series is when Joey started developing feelings for Rachel! It was so romantic!!! 8D

I don't agree with the whole Ross and Rachel on/off again thing. As far as I believe, it's totally over!

this show is how I remember my school nights in my teens. =] good times.

My favourite characters were Chandler and Ross.

I really liked it when Monica and Chandler got together too, those two are very suited eachother and are funny together.

I always enjoyed Ross's dorkyness and how he was passionate about things the others thought nothing of.

Chandler is obvious why he was a favourite, always funny and splurting out a bit too much sometimes, and his job that nobody knows what it is he does!

I think the modern version of this show for my/our generation would be How I Met Your Mother which is another show I'm a big fan of (but that's for another topic!).

How I met your mother is good, but nothing compared to friends.
Friends was a behemoth with merchandise and influential hair styles and everything.

sometimes how I met your mother flat out stinks, but then again so did some of the episodes of friends.

A while ago, I bought (for a very reasonable £2 from ebay) the boys vs girls question game that was featured in an epic friends episode, unfortunately the questions were pretty rubbish, but I plan on writing/getting together my own series of questions and having some friends over for a boys vs girls night featuring the who knows the other sex better game! and a special lightning round will be included of course!

is the PS2 game anygood, or a bit too easy?
Some friends of mine are pretty good friends buffs aswell as myself, might be a fun party game =]

My mum bought me the board game when i was a kid, and i took it to my friends house to play at a sleep over. There was an adult selection of cards that caused much amusement, they got conviscated by my friends mum in the end.

For someone who actually watches Friends, yeah the game is way too easy. However, I haven't played with friends yet. I only played by myself and I've yet to get a question wrong...

Basically, the gameplay is "watch this cutscene" and then a multiple choice question often being "what happens next?"

The only question that really stumped me was "What was Ross's shirt color?" after a cutscene but I got it right luckily... :omghey:

Was it the pink shirt that he insisted was salmon?

OMG! Yes it was!!! LOL

I just finished the final episode of Friends... I actually cried at the end. It almost seems like a show that great could never end.

I mean, I knew it HAD to end but... -bawls like a baby-

Oh! And the second to the last episode, don't even get me started!
