Have any of you managed to steal the following items?

Mythril Sword from Beatrix #1
Fairy Flute from Hilgigars
Demon Mail from Tantarian
Holy Lance from Ark
Grand Armor from Nova Dragon

These items are notoriously hard to steal, due to their 1/256 chance of success. The bolded ones are the only ones I managed to steal, and Grand Armor was probably due to the Master Thief ability.

Which of these items have you managed to steal?

I have stolen all of them but the flute is the most difficult item to steal.

I specifically remember stealing Holy Lance from Ark during my level one challenge. Took seventeen tries, though!

I got the Fairy Flute from Hill Gigas, but it was pretty maddening the first time, since I didn't know there were a handful of items with atrociously low steal rates. I couldn't understand why it was so difficult.

I have stolen all except the Fairy Flute, but only the Mythril Sword without Master Thief, if I remember correctly.

I've never gotten Fairy Flute. I tried and tried until I just couldn't try no more.

I think I managed all of them at some point or another. Fairy Flute is a bit iffy though.

Wow, I must have been really lucky. I've only played through it once but I got the Fairy Flute, the Demon Mail, and the Holy Lance. :p

I got all of those except for the fairy flute b/c I got bored after 20 mins and decided I didn't care since I could get it later. It doesn't help you don't have all of the steal abilities yet when you fight the golem =/ I got all of the items there w/o missing a steal except once or twice most of the time since I always have the +steal chance equipped the second I get it.

I honestly can't remember but the flute and Hill Gigas thing sounds really familiar, so perhaps yes?

All of them, but the Flute is a bitch to get. All four of my characters Tranced over a dozen times fighting Hilgigas. It was a freaking joke, but also kinda cool seeing all of your characters in Trance form at the same time.

AND BEING ABLE TO DO NOTHING THROUGH FEAR OF KILLING THE GIGAS. :mad2:

Got the Flute and that's it. After the battle I was like, "Never. Again."

I get them all on every playthrough because im obsessed with doing and getting everything as early as possible on this game:D

Out of those I've only gotten the flute. I was determined to get it, so I just spent forever and I eventually got it. If I had known the bad odds I might not have started, but after having spent so much time trying to get the flute, I just couldn't throw it all away, so I continued trying to steal until I got it.

Got 'em all at least once, but typically ignore the harder ones. I wouldn't put the Holy Lance in the same mind-numbing league as Beatrix' sword and such, though.

I got all of them. And like in most games I do lots of things the first time by accident and when I try to do them again, I find it very difficult (like I actually crossed the swamp in FFVII on foot without facing the midgar zolom on my first play though, which i didnt finish). I found getting the the mythril sword of Beatris the hardest because of the time limit of the battle. I stole it the first time without any trouble, but after that one time, it all ways takes me at least two attempts at the battle to get it.
