So what are your total playtimes on all the Square games?
Because of my type A personality I wrote down all my total playtimes before I deleted or overwrote any of my games, so I was able to add em all up. 3,756 hours, 24 min, 18 seconds. Bit more than my 2k I originally guessed.
EDIT: So just for fun, adding in my WoW time tops it over 6500 hours. I quit WoW though, so only Final Fantasy for me now.

I estimated about 1,560 but it could be a lot higher. Into the 2,000-2,500 range wouldn't be out of the question. I'm just not sure how many times I've replayed some titles so I made a conservative estimate.

Hm... Lets do some guesswork:
FFI: 30 hours
FFII: 10 hrs
FFIII: 30 hrs
FFIV: 5 x40 = 200 hrs
FFV: 4 x 45 = 280 hrs
FFVI: 6 x 60 = 360 hrs
FFVII: (3 x 120) + (5 x 60) + (1 x 24) = 684 hrs
FFVIII: 60 hrs? How long does it take to get to the end game in FFVIII?
FFIX: (3 x 50) + (1 x 80) = 230 hrs
FFX: 100 + 30 = 130 hrs
FFXII: 80 hrs
FFXIII: 40 hrs
FFT: (2 x 160) + (2 x 120) + (4 x 50) = 760 hrs
FF Subtotal: 2896
Chrono Trigger: (5 x 50) + (12 x 20) = 490 hrs
Chrono Cross: 4 x 40 = 160 hrs
Xenogears: 2 x 40 = 80 hrs? How long is xeno again?
Vagrant Story: 20 hrs
Infinite Undiscovery: 10 hrs
Last Remnant: 20 hrs
Random Stuff: 100 hrs
Non FF Subtotal: 880
Total-ish: 3776
I think I may have overestimated the length on a few of the titles though. I think by doing things this way you can get a very clear picture of which games are really your favorites.
so I was able to add em all up. 3,756 hours, 24 min, 18 second
Cool, less than a percentage difference. :)

More like 60 - 80. You would have to be using a ROM version to fast forward through the cutscenes to get 40. I usually get to the end game material around the 80 hour mark in this title but I do tend to grind and learn deathblows early. :D

No, Xenogears was done all on legitimate PSX. Frameskip did make it extremely difficult to estimate on the SNES ones though :)

Well, I have finished Final Fantasy VII more than 50 times. By far more. And every save data of these 50 + stopped with 99:59:59 but I did not stop - I am always start some new save datas every year so it's no wonder I have so many different save games of my Final Fantasys. Together with the rest of the Final Fantasys these are I don't know how many thousand hours. One of my Final Fantasy X save datas has 500 hours. And I don't even count how many times I have finished it. But the playtime is everything, but not normal. I am too nostalgic to just play (or "enjoy" like I would say) something once and then never touch it again.

The second I start counting the second I start realizing that it is a problem.
I am not ready for that just yet.

Yeah, and since I'm only 16 I noticed that over 150 days on games is like 1/35 of my life. That's a lot, so maybe I have a bit of a problem, too...

People always seem to regret all the time they put into video games, but half of the time I go out with friends and do something afterwards I can't help but think 'man what a waste of a night'. As long as you were enjoying the time you put into the games there is nothing to be ashamed about.

I've probably clocked 1000 hours on FF10 alone, lol.
Darn I should've hit 1500, not sure about 2500. Ah well, it probably is.
