View Full Version : I shouldn't be here...

So today I found myself in The Vue, surrounded by little children or girly little teenagers who talk all the way through the movie, thinking "..wow, I shouldn't be here, watching this film " since I should have grown out of cute-looking dragons (How To Train Your Dragon...3D..).

I felt compelled to feel embarrassed, but still I swaggered to my seat like I was all it. The middle-aged man next to me at least had a reason - his five year olds wanted to see the cute-looking dragons in *gasp* 3D. . .my reason? I-HAD-NO-VALID-REASON.

My question to you: do you ever watch things that are aimed at a completely different target audience?

Nope, if I'm watching something I'm guessing they were aiming at me. But on a serious note, half of what I watch are probably aimed at a younger audience.

Oooh I was intrigued by that dragon film too! It's weird cos if I was younger I definately would've dragged my parents out to the cinema with me to see it, but now I feel kinda weird wanting to watch it :(

It's times like this when I wish I had a little person who I could use as my excuse to watch kiddie films :)

Nobody in the theater cares...and if they do then they are insecure.

There's always one person :( somewhere, who looks at you and checks out whether you've got any little kid with you as your excuse. . .

I had no excuse at all.

Yeah but then they look away and completely forget about it. People look around finding something to hate about a random person all the time. I bet you do it too. :p

xD difference being is that I often don't need to look very hard, esp. in a cinema full of children.

That's another problem with it I guess.
