I watching the anime Gasaraki, and I was struck by some of the similarities.
The main character Yushiro is the youngest son of the second wife of the head of a powerful military-industrial corporation. He has several scheming older half-brothers who manipulate him him into fighting in a middle eastern war. He has a younger sister by the same mother who idolises him and possesses strange mystical powers that are unleashed by the end. He even fights against another soldier, Miharu, of an equally amoral rival corporation. They eventually join forces.
