I'm replaying it now! And this time I might actually finish it once I get to the final dungeon...

It's been over a year, probably close to two. And I had the same problem! Fear not, I will play through with you. :)

Ready, go!

My last playthough was in September, average level 36.

Sometime in 2009. Not too long ago. I managed to master all jobs and get every blue mage spell but Missle. Still have to take down omega and that dragon fellow. All in All good game and very under rated.

Summer of last year, I guess.

Summer of '08 when I did a III-VI marathon over those three or four months. Plenty of nostalgia, but each time I pick up V I'm impressed by how well it holds up. Easily the best game in the old-school, high fantasy entries, and maybe even the best in the whole series. :choc:

I love coming up with unconventional parties for each playthrough and making up different personalities for the characters (an advantage of sparse characterization) - this last time I had Bartz as the sissy-boy traveling artist tree-hugger and ended up making him into a fairly useful Blue Mage/Bard type. Lotta fun.

Wow, you guys have played it all much more recently than me. I haven't played it since 2004 or 2003!

I've been thinking about replaying it, but I grabbed FFIX first.

A few months ago. It's my favorite.

I haven't played it since 2006, which is an extremely long time for me. I can just feel FFV DS coming though, so I keep holding off. SE needs to get their asses in gear, I am chomping at the bit to get another go at it.

(Yes I could play it now and again when it is released for DS, but the DS experience probably won't be as rewarding as it could have been)

A few months ago. I'm exploring the new dungeons in the GBA release to train for Shinryu, but they're ridiculous.

I'm replaying it, like always, but school made me put it down for a few weeks. Thank god school's over!

Last time I played it was yesterday. :D

How's it coming, BoB? :choc2:

I played it last shortly after it was released for GBA. I tried picking it up during this easter, but I was in the final dungeon and I was real rusty so I had no idea what was going on and just kept dying. I really hope there's a DS remake, it's probably my favorite FF.

Not bad. :) I'm trying to balance it with playing L4D2 with Danielle, so it's not going shockingly fast. I think at last check I'd just beaten Atomos (or whatever boss is at the top of the antennae tower thing). I think I may have done some things after that, too, actually... I know I've met Ghido. But I remember also dying and then realising I'd not saved for a while, too, so :( at that.

EDIT: And I forgot to get Shiva! Oops. =x

Oh yeah, this reminds me of the FFV challenge me and Necro started. I got busy and dropped it for a while, then completely forgot about it. Gotta get back to it.

Must have been last autumn. I didn't complete it that time, but when I did complete it, my levels were 55/54. I really wanna play it again but I will have to play it on the SNES as I no longer have my PSOne version. Lately I've had the urge to replay some old skool (did i just say old skool?) rpgs.

I think it was about 2-3 years ago. For some reason, I've been feeling like playing it again.

About a year ago. I remember getting to ExDeath and then quitting. That was the GBA version.

I just finished it on my GBA a few months ago.

I could probably check my memory card and see my last save, but too lazy. The memory card is just so far (2 feet away). I'm estimating that it was back in 2006 when I got FF Anthology.

Woah... I can't remember, but maybe... I don't play this FF since more than 5 or 4 years ago! Now I think I should replay it :) ...Maybe try another version... I always played Snes one only...!

Far too long ago. Something always distracts me part way through the game and I end up stopping.

November 2008. I made it somewhere into World 2 and then went back to Iraq so had to stop. I actually planned to pick that save file back up again in the next few days and finish it.

I lasted played Final Fantasy V with a friend earlier this year. I always play Final Fantasy V with another person every couple of years. I feel like the game has a lot of replay value.

That's a lot of fun; I like splitting up the characters and each of us making the job decisions together.

Probably in 08 when I was watching all the love Bartz was getting for Dissidia before its release. Mastered all the jobs so I could get a freelancer with three stars over his head and beat the ever loving crap out of Enuo in the optional dungeon. I was sad I accidentally ran from a fight and made the Brave blade no longer the strongest weapon in the game. :(

I think the last thing I was doing was finishing the collection of the best weapons in the game, the last few Blue Magic spells (since the GBA version moved the monsters around) and was actually trying to level my party up to 99 so I can say I did it for once. :D

Not sure if it's an option in all versions; I have the Anthology PSOne version. Go to Config and change the multiple controller option so that certain controllers control certain characters.

OH, I knew that.

I was talking about other methods. Like taking turns on the game or idk

I think his name is Cheesy. But the spell deathpetrify is scary.

About two years ago beating the game again at level 53 I think. Beat the game in the 40's before that but I didn't master all the classes.

Also the nitpic is there's too many weapons for 4 people. The 12 fabled weapons plus all the ones you can buy.

Played for about two hours the other night to gain 100 ABP and then my PS3 went all I'm gonna be retarded and go blank when you try to save and I was sad.

Whenever new white and black magic is available I'll stop the story and gain AP until the characters can cast all the current spells. Then I'll go back to their real classes and carry on.

I was having trouble beating the lasers on the flying city so I quit.
I probably will pick it up again after I beat FFVI.:D

I play it on and off, same goes for FFVI. Long done with the main story, so I'm just leveling up and completing jobs. Heavily considering starting over again very soon.

Just yesterday, actually. I defeated Neo Shinryu (which was the only one I needed for a 100% Bestiary. Dragon Cannon helped a lot more than Dragon Lances did), Cloister of the Dead, and Mastered Monk and Mystic Knight. I left those two around 30 ABP away from being mastered since they could potentially mess up mime strategies. I've got fully mastered Freelancers now, since I had all jobs except for those last two mastered. I can't really do anything more on it now, besides level up all characters to level 99 (I got all spells as well). Though I think level 71 should be sufficient.

Level 38 isn't, apparently. Neo X-Death mutilated me. :(

If you're playing the PSX version, you can mix a maiden's kiss and phoenix down to skip Neo X-Death. Or, in the Gameboy Advance version, you can use the Chaos Cannon to kill X-Death and skip Neo X-Death.

Recently I started a new save, I already forgot how challenging the game was in the beginning. Trying to use different jobs this time through. Sshot/Rapid fire/X-Fight is for the weak. :D
