...Beacause it's so wrong!

Don't get me wrong, I still love YouTube, and I get what it's trying to do here, but however the automatic closed captions work, simply doesn't work.

Whatever the people in the video say, the CC will write something else - sometimes it's close (like TV Subtitles), other times it's nowhere near what's really being said. My theory is, is that YouTube have used some sort of automatic "Voice Recognition System" to create the subs, and the constant change in tone and accent is causing it to spout out some weird things (I used one myself as a child - you have to say each word exactly how you said it the first time every time you say it)

In time YouTube will find away to fix this - although part of me hopes they don't, because it is so funny to watch and read (even though I realize it's mostly for deaf "Tubers")

If you don't know what I mean, check the following videos; They are all scenes from a TV show I like, but I appologise if you don't - however you don't have to like the show to laugh at the Closed Caption.

To look at the Closed Caption; click on "CC" (not all YouTube videos have it) and select "Transcribe Audio" and when "Ok" appears click it.

At best, it works perfectly and it's really useful.

At worst, it's hilarious and Engrishy.
