So awhile back I made a thread about how Men's Health ranked my city the second dumbest out of one hundred cities in the United States. Well now they've decided we're the fattest.

America's Fattest Cities : Men's Health Metrogrades (http://www.menshealth.com/fattestcities2010/)

See if your city is on here!

Ouch!

23 Fort Wayne, IN D+

Not surprised in the least. Some people here are enormous. Makes me wonder why they treat their bodies in such a way.

Columbus, OH #63. Seems about right.

Wait, Los Angeles is fatter than Columbus? That's pretty surprising to me when I look around here.

Still no where near as far as Oklahoma City.

99th, Washington DC, rank A+

15th, Philadelphia, rank D

... fuck.

Little Rock is a B-, so I guess that's okay. Fayetteville's numbers are skewed two-fold-- one by having a thriving hippie "underground" and two by being the home of Fatmart I mean Wal*Mart.

The closest to where I am is Anaheim, which has a B at rank 78.

I lol at Jessweeee's city being fat and dumb.

I'm not sure whether I should go with Toledo or Ft. Wayne. It takes slightly less time to get to Toledo, but Ft. Wayne is actually ~5 miles closer... either way, it's a D+ grade.

San Diego is #62 D:

At least we're rich. :colbert:

Richmond is 45 and Virginia Beach is 53. But there's Charsleton ranked 2nd which I think is even closer to my town. Texas is up there a lot.

Buffalo is number 14! WOO!

It's all the hot chicken wings! But they're so damn tasty.

B-. I can live with that.

Closest to me at the moment is Richmond and Virginia Beach, which are both Cs. Washington D.C. would be next closest, at an A+, so I'll just claim that one.

Well, I live in San Diego, which is #62. But I'm from Vancouver, WA, which is right next to Portland, OR, which is #95. So I'mma go with PTown on this one.

Whee! #1!

I love living in an area that embraces real food, ethnic food, organic and "slow" food. Too bad it also makes for expensive food!

And people are so active here. It's kinda unnerving. Everyone hikes or bikes or climbs freakin' rocks.

75! NYC got B-.

In reality, the city I live in is extremely thin, and would have a higher grade. We only had like, maybe three or four actual obese people in my school.

75! NYC got B-.

Well I live in a suburb of NYC but it's close enough. :p

I'm confused because it says that Colorado Springs got a B+ but Colorado itself got a B+ as number 87. Am I missing something here?

Denver got an A_, which is a weird grade to me. I'm surprised Boulder isn't on the list since it is comprised almost entirely of hippies and mountain bikers.

My city (Toledo) is a D+? :(

Though not surprising. Walking down the street to get my sisters from school, I've seen some...yeah :(

I lol at Jessweeee's city being fat and dumb.

It's awful. I don't see that many more fat people here than in other places, but the stupid thing is definitely a problem. A lot of big companies try to set up business here (we were even supposed to get an amusement park, either Six Flags or Sea World, I forget) but they can't. Usually what happens is the old farts in charge of the place can't decide on anything (my grandpa finally got to do something with the marina after almost a decade of arguing with them) and then when they finally say "yeah okay go for it" the people trying to do whatever leave because they simply can't hire any competent people to set up their establishment.

The Danish people have slowly become more and more and more overweight over the years. Can't go to the store without seeing a huge, white woman. :D

Nope, I live in a tiny town of active, fit people. For the most part. But I do think New Jersey is most definitely one of the fattest states. :<

Looks like all the fit tail is in Burlington and San Fran. If you'll excuse me, I've got a trip to organise.

Phoenix is no. 68, B-., I guess that's good (?).

Where I live isn't on there, but we're probably like a C because a lot of the soccer moms here are obese. I can't believe NYC is a B-. What the hell.

Also, I gotta laugh at the Texas rank. I have such a hatred for that state and I don't even know where it comes from. I think I really am a straight up Yankee.

I'm going to college in Burlington (ahem), much ass will be had.
