Threads Of Fate Spinning Its Way To PlayStation Network // Siliconera (http://www.siliconera.com/2010/05/10/threads-of-fate-spinning-its-way-to-playstation-network/)

Hopefully it'll be released in the US and Europe, too. Europe didn't even get it the first time around D:

That's good to hear. I never played it, but wanted to. How is it?

I really enjoyed Threads of Fate. It's an adorable action-adventure-RPG with two interesting main characters. I loved Prima Doll! His name was Prima Doll, right?

It's delightful :</>D!

You can play as Rue or Mint. Mint uses magic and has a mostly comedic story (WOOOOOOOOOORLD DOMINATIOOOON) and Rue transforms into monsters he defeats and has a more serious story.

And Prima Doll is so adorable.

June 23rd in Japan! (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/06/09/dew_prism_date_set/)

Still no word on whether or not it'll be seen in other countries.

Sweet!

Now hurry up and release Chrono Cross for PSN (unless I've been living under a rock and they already have!).

That's too bad, I would have liked to see what all the fuss was about.

I really feel like re-playing Threads of Fate now. I loved Rue's story, and I preferred it to Mint's. Actually, I don't think I ever finished Mint's story.

I never played too far into this game back in the PS1 days. I found the game boring.

Man, this is just reminding me how much I'm annoyed at SE with their handling of DL retro titles. It took forever for FFII (IV) and Secret of Mana to be released on Wii Ware and it will probably be towards the end of the systems life cycle before they finally release FFIII (VI) and Chrono Trigger.

Likewise with PSN, I'm happy the main FF titles are out but what about everything else they made, you know, the good titles like Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, Front Mission 3, Einhander, Threads of Fate, and Legend of Mana?

Come on SE, stop being dicks about this and let the floodgates open. :colbert:

Well, they are just kind of competing with themselves. FF7 was on the top 10 DLs list for like 6 months. Why would they release another title to compete with it? Only releasing new games when the old ones stop selling is a smart marketing model. Which I agree really does blow.

Legend of Mana is planned for PSN, but there's no date set, so might be a while.

It will be July 28 for Legend of Mana's release but once again, this is for the Japanese PSN store :mad2:

They have Chrono Cross, Dew Prism (Threads of Fate), and soon Legend of Mana...

Two years later and I finally got around to playing this game. It's pretty fun! Also, Jessweee/Azar's walkthrough on the frontsite was super helpful.

You should all play this game. Mint is one of the most amusing characters I've ever seen in a video game. She cracked me up the whole time. I'm glad I played her story second, because Rue's story would have been disappointing if it had to follow that.

Glad you liked it. Now recommend it to someone else.

I didn't like Mint at all. I don't think I even got halfway through her story because of how much I disliked her character. Although I might it give it a try again now that I'm so laid-back all the time.

WHAT?! Mint is the best part of this game!
