Would anyone watch the Mario Bros. movie if it starred Sacha Baron Cohen as the (as originally depicted) identical twin brothers in red shirts with white overalls and hats, spoke with an Italian accent, claimed to have no last name, and participated in an underworld that actually did its best to stay true to the original game?

As everyone knows, the first MB film featured Bob Hoskins and John Liguizamo with Dennis Hopper as "King Koopa". The only "connections" the film had to the game were names, plumbing, "fungus", and Koopa's "reptillian ancestry" which allowed him to be "devolved" into a dinosaur. Obviously, this was all a very badly planned attempt to gain fan appeal through hard action and science-fiction, but it ended up being a blatant slap in the face to action fans, sci-fi fans, and NES fans.
