There are fruit-shaped bus stop shelters scattered along highway 207 in Nagasaki, Japan, including strawberries, melons, watermelons, tomatoes, and oranges. Obviously, the strawberry shelters are the cutest!

Isahaya city's website states that these shelters were inspired by the pumpkin carriage in the Cinderella fairytale.

:kauberry:

Through Google maps I traveled down 207 in "street view" until I had seen all three strawberry shelters. Here they are!

From northeast to southwest:

You didn't try to pet it did you? I hear they can be quite savage if not properly trained.

I am never late for anything. I arrive precisely when I mean to.

I swear you made this same thread before.

I wanted to find one of those so badly! I was satisfied with Sanrio Strawberry House though.

I swear you made this same thread before.
I mentioned the strawberry stops in another thread, briefly, but this is my first thread about them.

More strawberry news: highway 150 (Kunou) in Shizuoka city, Japan is nicknamed "Strawberry Road" (いちごロード), because there are places to buy and pick strawberries all along it!

You know what that other post made me do? Look at Tokyo and start 'driving' around it using google maps!

How cute!

I must say that I'm not entirely surprised, though. Japan really does have a kawaii obsession. For instance, I saw this panda bus in Tokyo.

You know I never wanted to go to Japan (associate it with otakus which I don't like) but the more I visited China the more I felt going to Japan would be a better waste of money.

Who wants to go to Japan with PG?
