So, I'm sitting around my house last night watching 24. I've been watching this show for the last seven years and Jack Bauer is my daddy. I'm all hyped up like a five year old on Pixie Stix because this is the end of the series. The finale. The last one. The end. Jack riding off into the sunset and such.

So, I'm watching it eating some yummy food I had just cooked out and ingest enough food to kill a small horse. I'm old, so after I eat I nap. During the middle of 24. I fall asleep before the show is over... the show I've watched religiously for the last memorable part of my life (I'm old, so the memory isn't so good anymore anyway).

Anywhoo... I wake up this morning and fire up the DVR and watch the rest of it. I come to a sad realization that a big part of my life is now over because my favorite TV show has come to an end. I'm sad. I'm lonely. I'm in search of something...

Somehow in that search, I came across you posers again. Hey, it's only been since 2001 since I last logged in.

HI!

Loony Boob! I mean Bob! I was looking through the staff and site and couldn't believe how many of the old crew was still around. It's like the place hasn't changed a bit except it's got thousands of people I don't know and more stuff and a new design and... Ok, pretty much nothing about EoFF is the same. I suck.

Check out the drop down menu on the bottom left of your page and test "EoFF 3.1" or something. I think that's the one which looks like EoFF used to...

But yeah, a lot of us are still around, although some might have new usernames that you don't recognise (eg. Zell 007 changed name to Hsu and then to Shoeberto, while Agent Proto is currently Blues Agent, etc.).

You say you haven't been here since 2001, but your name is familiar. Either I stalked your profile page, or you've been mentioned a bit.

Well welcome the smurf back anyway!

I watched an episode of 24 once, and liked it. I decided to wait until I get all of them and then watch them straight through. Now that the opportunity is upon me I... I don't know whether to do it or not.

Going back to 3.1 is the first thing I did as soon as I logged onto the forum. The old font reminds me of the old days and the EoFF CD art work (which I still have a copy of around somewhere).

As far as what I'm into these days... I still play FF a bit. Picked up FFXIII when it was released, struggled with Odin kicking my butt multiple times and finally beat him and got a bit further and... well, it's collecting dust now, but I'll get around to finishing the game eventually. My days of sitting around on a console for days without showering have been replaced by this...

Generally, I am out in the woods for days without showering. So at least I still am the smelly type.

Holy smurf, that looks fun!

Welcome back to EoFF, Coach! That is if you are sticking around, and not just popping in for a visit. (you don't know me btw)

Anyway, what is it exactly that you are doing in that photo? Did you drive into the ditch on purpose for fun? Or is the torque on that thing so massive that the wheelspin created the ditch? xDD

You bet you're smurfin' life it's fun! It's called Rock Crawling and there's plenty of places semi-close to here to do it. That's a place in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky called Holiday Hill and I came close to rolling over in the pic.

Here's a few pics from down in Harlan, KY. Same place as the setting for "Justified" on FX if you watch that show.

I'm going to guess you've been away for seven years because it took you that long to figure out why some guy named Jacques was banned from FF:WA for Bleys (Your last post before today :p)

Hey wait, I live in Kentucky.

Rock Crawling happens here too, I recall there being a TV show on a local channel about it. I'm not overly familiar with it, but it is pretty crazy seeing some of the rocks they just smash up. Like, vertical bitches.

I know what you mean. There's a trail down at the Gorge that ends on an obstacle called Devil's Brew. It's flat out nasty and I'm going to give it a shot this coming weekend.

There's lots of people out there in Jeeps that enjoy the mud and just mashing the throttle, but I enjoy the more technical aspect of rock crawling.

I'm trying to find out whereabouts, but I keep finding pro-competition sign-ups and the like. Oh, and a 1/8 scale R/C 4x4 for sale. =\

Rock Crawling is now officially on my list of things to do when I graduate. Along with karting.

I remember you!

I was Zell 007 back then. I think most of the memories I have of you are actually from BOU's RPG maker game.

Rock climbing in a jeep looks pretty intense.

How ya been Zell/smelly shoe? Did the big orge ever actually get that game finished? I remember downloading a copy of it and it kept freezing up, of course it probably was because my computer sucked.

I'm pretty sure Sick Irony was completed before BOU ever allowed anyone to download anything to do with it.

The KY side of Clarksville for now.

I'm pretty sure Sick Irony was completed before BOU ever allowed anyone to download anything to do with it.I wouldn't call it complete, but it's about as far as BOU was willing to go. It's playable.
