I just downloaded the Firefox add on ChatZilla so I could, you know, chat. And it took me a while to figure out how to even find and add the chatroom I wanted.

Think somebody could help me out a bit, teach me some, or perhaps even point me towards a good guide from which I can learn?

What's confusing you?

when I first start up mIRC (the most common IRC client on windows) I type

/server whatever.ircserver.org
/join #whateverchat

I connect to a server, and then join a chatroom on that server.

That's the basics, now that you're in the chatroom you'll notice symbols by peoples names--the ones with the @'s (I think) are OPs---

ACTUALLY, I'm not even gonna get into that cause it's different for each server. Just join a server and join a chatroom and start talking to people and they'll explainicate you as you go along.

First you need to connect to a server, and then you need to join a channel.

1. With Chatzilla open, type "/server irc.calindora.com" (without the quotes) and press enter.
2. Type "/join #eoff" to join the EoFF channel.
3. Type "/nick something" to change your nick to "something."
4. Type "/quit" to quit from IRC.
