I stayed up all night last night making this suggestive sculpture, not because i'm a pervert (although that was a contributing factor), but because my art coursework is all due in on Wednesday. Dunno if i'll be able to fire it in time but meh...
Yes so it took ages, mostly because of the size of it (I left my mug on the side for a comparison) and therefore the weight. I had to reinforce the joints a lot because of the amount of stress put on them. Plus, kneading and rolling out that much clay is hard work :(
I was inspired by a Judy Chicago piece and Georgia O'Keefe's work. I then went on to make a sort of maquette out of rubber gloves which I turned into a monoprint (both included in the photos) and subsequently, my sculpture :D Sculpting's not really my thing, i'm more into drawing and painting, so it's a tad simple.
