View Full Version : "If you ever hang up on me again, I'm smashing that phone against the wall."

So this morning I was sleeping, wonderful, amazing sleep.
Then my phone rang. I answered it, and it was my mother, who was in the next room.
"Get up and go make the dogs a piece of peanut butter toast."
Like, seriously. She couldn't get up and do that herself? Either way, I ended up doing it.

When was the last time you got woken up for a stupid reason, and what was the reason?

...
wat.

Since when do dogs like peanut-butter toast? Most of the time I'm too lazy to make myself peanut-butter toast, let alone another person let alone something that's probably going to relish the taste for 10 minutes before partaking in eating it's own poo.

Hell, I'd go as far as to say most of the time I don't feel I deserve the melty goodness that is peanut-butter toast. Not to say your dogs aren't deserving, but I have a suspicion if they truly understood you were being woke up to make them toast that they'd say--in Owen Wilson's voice I might add--

"Nah, it's cool, just go back to sleep, you can get me later man"

and then they'd go back to a cross-pawed contemplative chilling while they waited for their peanut-butter toast.

Uhh, wait, what's this thread about? Oh, once I got woken up at 4:00 in the afternoon because I had to go to work--Hey, do you get woken up often to make peanut-butter toast? Like y'know, that's not normal... like, it's very abnormal. Maybe a housewife being woken up to make breakfast would make sense but a mom waking their child up to make peanut-butter toast for their dogs is not normal. I can't really even explain why, it's just not. Not that it's somehow wrong, it's just not normal. In fact, it bothers me. I will think about this for a very long time. I will think about how you could have dreamed about idk, not waking up.

wat?

Last night. I was asked to get some paper and a pen by the person that was awake.

My family knows better than to do that nowadays.

Regardless, I get woken up at 5 in the morning every day without fail by my own bladder. I drink like a camel so I can never go a full night without needing to pee and then go back to bed for a few hours more sleep.

I am cranky when I get woken up...very cranky.

I had to get up to catch my stupid early morning flight about a week ago. I guess that wasn't really a stupid reason, but at 4:00am it seemed plenty stupid to me.

When I'm staying with my parents, their dog Ness deems 2-3 hours to be about long enough for me to go without having my face licked.

My dogs are little West Highland White Terriers, they wear sweaters, are groomed every other week, and my mother loves them more than anything in the whole world. Needless to say, nothing having to do with them ever makes sense. They don't eat dog food, so we have to cook them chicken and rice. I :bou::bou::bou::bou: you not.

For all of this, I've grown to have a mild hate for them .

As for the topic, I get calls around between 1 and 3 in the morning every so often from a friend trying to get me to go to a casino with him or get something to eat. I'M FUCKING SLEEPING, LEAVE ME ALONE. :mad2:

I feel the same why! I have a hard time sleeping because this baby, even though she sleeps through the night now. I wake myself up because I'm worried she's not making any noise :( Then it turns out she's just sleeping...

My sister used to call me up when she was drunk with her friends to go pick her up even though at the time I would be asleep after having revised for exams. I'm all up for going out and getting wasted but don't call your YOUNGER brother up to collect your sorry ass when you're wasted especially not during their exams.

When I was in the military, I was woken up at 4 in the morning to go handle an "emergency" at the office.

I think someone lost their keys or something.

Homer: Yes.

Homer: Oh, you mean tonight. Bart! Close the gate.
Bart: Lisa, close the gate!
Lisa: close the gate, Maggie!

Either last week or the week before, I had a text at about three am (ringtone is the first few seconds of Slipknot's 742617000027) telling me to "Sleep well bb x"

That was odd. I was sleeping pretty well until that happened. Texted back telling this person I would, but who was he. "It's me, Nigel x". Texted again saying he had the wrong number, and from then on this mysterious Nigel decided maybe I'm not the girl he wanted.

My parents wake well know that waking me up at all is basically summoning Armageddon, but they do it regardless. And most of the time, it's to feed the dogs. Other times include mowing the yard or my personal favorite, vacuuming.

I thought dogs couldn't eat nuts AND rice. Miriel could probably shed some light on that. I don't even own dogs.

My mum used to let me sleep forever. Even if I was late for school, she'd let me sleep, because she didn't want to make me cranky (which I don't understand - I've never been a grumpy morning person, I'm alway 'up and go').

My room mate woke me up early this morning, but I didn't mind because it was with a happy birthday song and a nice little present. Not a bad way to be woken up.

Also, the worst is when my parents call and wake me up in the morning. Like, for crying out loud.. you know I'm not up that early!
