It's one of the few meats I enjoy overdone. I usually like it a little on the red side, steak in particular.

Nope! I heard of it though. =O

I'm curious about it. I'm ambivalent about turkey. I absolutely LOVE turkey as a cold cut on a sandwich, it's all I eat. But I hate dry Thanksgiving turkey. Does it taste like cold cut turkey?

Glad to hear it is on the list, Necronopticous! It sounds delicious and well-spoken for, so I might even hunt down some if I can!

I am picky about my meats usually, and I go with natural or organic foods more often than not; so the brand of bacon I can nab over at Whole Foods tends to be [Wellshire] (http://www.wellshirefarms.com/store/page7.html), which does not look very fancy online, but I have always enjoyed their bacon with the added benefit of less excess additives to my body! I have not looked critically at bacon for superior taste, though, so whether the brand holds up against your contenders is questionable!

Haha, nope they're not. It depends on the kind of pastry, but they can e.g. be called "snegl", "wienerbrød", "kringle" etc.

I've had bacon twice this week. Danielle cooks it pretty well. The best bacon I've ever had, though? Hmm. I'm not sure. The bacon at Liz's Van is pretty good, but it's hard for me to compare bacons when I don't have them often enough.

And a good bacon should be neither crispy nor rubbery, Rye. It should be tender while still with enough juice inside it to be flavoursome, and there shouldn't be too much fat, and also there should not be chew fat that gets to the point that you have to chew it for longer than the flavour flows around your mouth. To be honest, I just cut the fat right off, personally. It allows for more time to focus on the bacon.

Also: Sashimi. Yes please. Raw bacon. No thankyou.
