Zeldathon for the American Cancer Society.

Zeldathons on USTREAM: The official Ustream for ZELDATHON! A 3 day marathon for charity! Our mission is to entertain you and hopefully help find a cure for... (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/zeldathons#utm_campaigne=synclickback&source=http://tnmcproductions.com/zeldathon/&medium=2392602)

These guys are playing a Zelda marathon for 72 hours straight in an effort to raise money for the ACS.

There are prizes to be had and silliness to watch. Go donate! Or not!

That sounds just a bit more interesting to do than the annual masochistic Desert Bus for Hope (http://desertbus.org/).

Moved to Gen. Gaming.

That is really awesome. Creative fundraising is good fundraising. (Well, all fundraising is good. Unless you're raising funds for Nazis or something. Or the spread of toe fungus. That would also be bad.)

There are some people doing exactly this with the Mario series as well, which I suspect can be quite longwinded what with all the spinoffs. Apparently they're playing every Mario game with Mario in it, even Mario Hotel.

They Zeldathon people say that while they HAVE played and finished all three CD-i Zelda games, they will not be doing so for Zeldathon. :P

TheSpeedGamers. They do a lot of marathons for charity, previously they did a Metroid marathon, and their biggest one last year was Final Fantasy where they raised $50,000 for charity.

Zeldathon had only won just over $2000 so far. :(
