So, my hand is aching (from typing up posts, you dirty bastards!) and I've become a little too comfortable with the Alt+Tab and Copy+Paste routine. This can only mean one thing: I'm ready! Hell, I'm as ready as I'll ever be and that's good enough for me.

It's been pretty interesting this time around. There have been a buttload of close contests, including a certain award which had something like three members tied before I got to the tie-breaking stage, and others just a vote behind. Crazy! So expect a lot of close contests, a few breakaway winners (as always) and some very unexpected victories, at least one of them which no member of the prediction party will be picking up any points from. Not for the casual gambler, this contest!

Alrighty! Here we go. Let us predict who we think will get together before the next Ciddies. I love the nominees! Now lets get to it.

Cuchulainn and Shin Gouken. Hmmm Really?! YES really! They seem to get along pretty well. Maybe sometime the spark could fly between them, seeing as how they make the sparks fly on their own. ;)

Now for Guardian XIII and NorthernChaosGod. This is a couple I would LOVE to see. I've seen the way they look at each other. Though it might be weird because they are practially the same person. It's weird talking to them at the same time.

Imperfectionist and Quin... o_O for cereal? I, personally, don't see it. But there has to be something brewing between them or they wouldn't have made it this far, now would they? Well we'll see what happenes in the coming months.

Psychotic and rubah are up next. They seem to get along pretty well. Sometimes. I'd actually like to see this happen, just to see who would wear the pants in this relationship. On fire! I'm sure Rubah could keep Psy in line.

Award 48: Most Likely To Be Lightning

Way back when, sometime in the 1700s, Benjamin Franklin decided to get himself shocked by a thunderbolt. His contribution to science was that people figured out that lightning, formerly God's Wrath, was a form of electricity.

Sometime in the late 1900s, someone figured out that naming people after natural phenomena was a pretty cool idea. They named characters to be like phenomena, as is the realm of artistic leniency. So, we have a character named Cloud, another named Squall. How doom-and-gloomy! But then, we got Zidane, and people were all like "wtf?" Tidus is a well known case of "not so doom and gloomy" as an intentional inversion. We all know how that ended up, and people disliked him because he's just too damn interesting. FFXII had some random letters put together, so it doesn't really count.

Here is the case, that we have both a powerful natural phenomenon for a name, and a female character that has been compared to the first two protagonists, probably for appearing too masculine. Now, I would say something nice here, but if I were not totally convinced that FFXIII had no plot, I would actually care. Now this isn't a point where I refute claims to the contrary. This is the part where I say something about the nominees. Perhaps my statements will not be as charged as the previous set of statements?

Jessweeee♪ - from what I have heard, Lightning, as a protagonist is quite the firm, stoic character. I don't imagine that Jessweeee♪OTE isn't at least partially that, as she does have titles of two positions of authority. That is, if she gets into bed with you, she'll definitely be on top.

Levian - I think it's some sort of in-joke. Perhaps a read through the archives might reveal the truth. Maybe you shouldn't have made your arguments so coherent or else I wouldn't have gotten suspicious.

Lightening - I don't know, maybe someone decided to screw up the spelling on her driver's license, and here, we have it. I'm suspecting a clone.

Shiny - she's a black person, so therefore, she's automatically not a pushover. Hell, Shiny can even be the main character in anything she does, she's a director and movie artiste! Extra, unnecessary "e" added to emphasize her creative talents. Yesh, addeing exxtra letthers ist, ein facte, ah skille.

ShlupQuack - she's mean, she's a queen, and she's someone who likes slapping Raistlin around. Who can say no to a lady who both married, and finds time to not just torture her own man, but even taking on the responsibility of making fun of a second man? Goddamn, that's an inspirational story if I have ever heard one.

In any and all circles, there is frequently the character that, despite his best attention and focus, just simply has his priorities elsewhere. Whether that's because he's sniffing around for clues or trolling for some fine piece of ass, he just doesn't notice what's around him. Frequently, this results in a very dead character, but since the internet does not kill people (people kill people, though), no one actually dies.

Instead they are summarily made fun of and taunted for their lack of notice. But here is the question, who could possibly be so oblivious, that they would never notice winning this forum award?

BG-57 is an avid gamer of the lower forums. It is not known whether or not he actually notices if there are boards above the gaming boards, though he is a Recognized Member for his contributions.

Blues Agent is perhaps too busy running contests other than the Ciddies to actually notice. Or perhaps it is that Asian meditational focus that prevents him from knowing. In either case, it is an odd fix.

Future Esthar seems to be more concerned with conspiracies and exercising his limited understanding and literary compromise skills. He is either incapable of discerning reality from fiction, or is a mega massive intellectual troll, and he receives no greater delight than in watching people get upset when he says that R=U and that R=U=FFXIII.

Jessweeee♪, our newest CK and SS tandem is from a long line of those who are recruited to, you know, work. Fresh, young blood is necessary for the development of any organization, and she fits the bill. Maybe she is just too busy moderating or even worse, actually doing stuff for the frontsite. Woah!

Kawaii Ryûkishi admin-badmin has been relatively inactive as of late. Perhaps the idea is that he would not know, simply because he just doesn't care about us. I find this to be odd, mostly because his girlfriend is involved.

SuperMillionaire is a child. Now, I'm not one to judge what a man does or does not like (I will, however, mock relentlessly), but Disney Channel is just weird. In the past, he seems to only report on "controversial" issues when the answer is clear: people wind up not caring. As such, he has painted a picture of himself as being highly detached and unaware of the General Chat forum.

Frankly, I find that any single one of these nominees might fit the bill given the right circumstance, but circumstance is no substitute for good old-fashioned reverse-popularity. EoFF decides, or remains apathetic. Either way.

Being banned is a mark of shameful honor. What it means, is that you have committed actions so heinous that you were exiled from the far reaches of the fora and cast out into the venerable world of #eoff. If you're lucky enough to be z-lined from that, you truly are B& from EoFF forever. Nothing could have saved you. But in your defense, you were just keeping it real. The man kept you down, you were just testing the limits and no one gave you warnings.

The winner of this Ciddie exemplifies three things.

1) They're probably one of the biggest pricks on the board. Seriously, just go into the EoEO cesspool and read some of their posts. If anything is slightly off-color or rude, then they exemplify this first trait.

2) They're disliked by staff. Secretly, the staff is out to ban everyone but their favorite buddies. Don't believe me, well I was banned once. It was after I stopped felating Loony BoB on a daily basis and left him for DK. I think that Cid's Knight means more than just forum management. I think it means that you're a great person to turn to for advice in anything. Someone you know you can count on. Someone who is a great friend to many. Someone that can get along with anyone. Someone who is spectacularly friendly.

Breine - Let's face it, he's awesome on so many levels. He has his own smiley for crying out loud! :breine: But he's also one of the nicest people I know, ever.

Bunny - Has a great sense of humor, and is loyal to his friends.

Goldenboko - He's smart, he's funny, he's dedicated. He's also Golden. Good as gold I say :jess:

Yay! Everyones favorite ciddie! I'm sure excited to find out who won it this time. I think it's a close call. I see a lot of very cute couples in the running this time. Let us discuss why they are here!

Our first couple consists of ~*~Celes~*~ and enano. A fairly new couple, if I may say so! Even on their own, they are cuties! Put them together and you can't deny how cute they are. Though, enano should post more often! Maybe if they win he might come back.

Next up is BrunettePudding and NorthernChaosGod. Now I asked him why they should win and this is what I got.

I'm my own MILF and Rye have been together for a little while now. I know this is the second time I've seen them in this race, and I've only witnessed two Ciddies. That's gotta say something. I takes a lot of love to keep a couple together for any length of time. Way to go you two and good luck!

This one is actually important to me, and it was pretty difficult for me to vote because I feel that every one of the names deserves the award in some way.

Ever since I joined EoFF, I have found more than just an internet forum to go to whenever I'm bored. I have made so many friends over the course of my time here, people I don't just call “my online friends” when talking to my family. People that I consider to be, in some ways, closer than my local friends, because they have helped me through so many tough times that I can honestly say I would gladly nominate and vote for all of them at the same time if I could. Here's the candidates and why I believe they deserve the award:

Loony BoB – Always ready with advice and a kind word, takes the time to personally get to know people, and you gotta love those pie charts and graphs!

qwertysaur – Always friendly no matter what, always there for a hug and to cheer you up when you need it most.

Rubah – good person to go to when you need advice and very open minded.

Rye – Very forgiving and just all around awesome. Has given me some really good advice and is very kind.

If someone had asked me a few years back how I could help them with video games, I might have been able to tell you just about everything concerning a game, right down to the bitter details. Publishers, mechanics, you have it, I could talk about it, even if I had never played the game before. I suppose that a few years back, more people were also annoyed with me when I told them such. Little did I realize that to have a proper opinion about something, you need to have at least experienced the situation before.

But seeing as how I am much more mature --

*cue laughter track*

-- now, I am quite capable of realizing that helping others doesn't mean answering all of their questions. It's all about specialization. It works for non-video game situations, too, but that isn't exactly the point.

Here at EoFF, a forum based around a video game series, we generally applaud those who still dedicate themselves to the contribution of video game knowledge to others. They might not know everything about anything (or at least, if they think they do, they hide it a little better than the rest of us), but at least they can say hey "listen to me, I know the troubles you're going through, let me help you fix them." To be the best, you must learn from the best.

BG-57, Freya, JKTrix, VeloZer0, Wolf Kanno, and Zeromus_X appear to be among the most helpful. I personally, would not know how, but perhaps there is some insight to these people that I have not seen. But the rest of EoFF has seen it! Who is EoFF seeing the most gaming assistance out of?
