If you could break one eoff rule with no consequence what would it be?

Rantz
07-04-2010, 03:48 PM
The one that says not to track down and senselessly murder other members with an axe.

Edit: wait we removed that rule? AWESOME

Just in case no one actually knows there are rules here!!!

Necroposting, I feel like I can contribute something to a two year old conversation.

Jiro

The rules are a'ight, I guess I'd go with like double posting or dodging the swear filter or something. Maybe a little bit of the ol' flaming.

Iceglow

Posting porn anyone? Or would that just be Baloki and Raistlin?

As for me I'd probably break all the rules once.

Rye

I'm not quite sure why necroposting is not allowed, so I'd say that one.

Psychotic

I'd break the sig limits and have something wallpaper sized in there.

Rebellious Eagle

Bumping threads. Sometimes I'll find a thread from a year back that I want to reply to.

Raistlin
07-04-2010, 07:08 PM
Unless I'm mistaken, the "no reviving threads" rule was revised fairly recently to give a little more leeway if there's some merit to that particular thread instead of a new one. Or at least I remember some discussion on that. I've mostly just seen it enforced in generic FF threads where someone posted a generic, unnecessary response 3 years later.

The swear filter is the main rule I've never liked, but I've accepted it over the years.

I'd break the avatar limits and have an av that was 1900 pixels wide...

oh wait I did that once ^^;;

probably the swear filter. Amanda's arguments against swearing are always so dumb!

Christmas, you linked the generic VB ruleset. I was very confused because this (http://forums.eyesonff.com/faq.php) is the correct EoFF-centric rules page.

Either necroposting or sig/avi size.

Tavrobel

I'd break the no flaming rule. Some people deserve to be berated for their stupidity.

I have money.

Oh man, that too. Though, if I were actually able to do it, I seriously doubt I'd do it near as often as I think "man if only I wouldn't get in trouble for saying that >:[" Simply because I find it difficult to be mean to people :(

Swearing filter definitely.

Also, maybe perhaps the no nudity rule. There are some images I'd like to turn into sigs that may just be stepping over the line a bit, so I'll do without.

Definitely the swear filter. Though as far as I can tell, there's only two words we can't say? But one of them is pretty much my favorite word, especially when I'm talking about videogames. :(

Swearing... I'll even make up words to create new swear words! Like Tinglebottoms!!!

Swearing never really hurts anyone around here...General swearing should be allowed...Except for mindless spamming ones and ones directed at members in a disrespectful manner

I would romance the administrators in force. It is an unspoken rule that I would break time and again.

I'd unban everyone that was ever banned, and then send a mail to their registration e-mail where I tell them whoever flames the most members gets a free copy of FFXIII. Whoever manages to flame Bunny into leaving forever gets a 10 year FFXIV subscription.

Swear filter, probably, but I don't have a huge problem with it, but Levian's right about the Umaros. I find the Umaros more aggressive than the swearing.

I'm sure you can argue that a bastard is necessarily a mammal as well.

I mean, I've never seen someone go up to a wall and call it "You bastard!"

*raises hand* I've called a wall a bastard after I stubbed my toe on it. Although you could argue that it was a door frame I guess.
