SC4 - Some attacks a bit Final Fantasy-ish?

(never played the game) of Soul Calibur 4 - am I the only one who thinks some of them look like they'ed fit in as attacks in some of the later final Fantasy games (Like VII, VIII, XI X, and anything after X)

The ones to look out for are;

01:23 to 01:36

01:42 to 01:50

04:00 to 04:12

05:04 to 05:12

05:19 to 05:32

07:38 to 07:49

I play a lot of SC4, but I rarely use those Critical Finish attacks. They were introduced to the series because there was a demand for Namco to create more incentive for offensive play with more Guard Impacting instead of turtling tactics. It seems to have worked too, so people rarely ever fight a battle in such a way that it invites a Critical Finish (at least of the human opponents I've played).

I think those attacks are more fun to witness than FF Limit Break-ishy attacks. When you've pulled one off, you feel really good about it, because the opponent would've been a giant jerkface hiding behind the Guard button the majority of the battle. And they actually end the battle too - MK Fatality-style. By comparison, Cloud looks kind of silly after doing Climhazzard...and the enemy's still there.

5:19-5:32 looks like Degenerator from FF8
4:00-4:12 looks like Lionheart, also from FF8
But those are the only two that look similiar to me
