I have, in my second PC (Danielle's one)...

Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C5
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2

Worth mixing together or am I better off just having 2GB of the latter? I'm not gonna buy more of the latter RAM as I'm going to upgrade the whole thing later on and will be using DDR3 RAM at that point, but that's still a few months away.

It's probably not a problem unless you want to try to tweak the maximum speed or minimum latency out of them. I'd do it if I only had 2 GB.

Or you spring 40 bucks for a 4 GB DDR ram, you could even take it to the next computer you buy.

I want DDR3 RAM for the next PC I have, so there isn't any desperate need to purchase anything if I'm only going to use it for a few months. I'm just asking out of sake of performance - may as well make use of what I have, etc.

EDIT: Checked over at some overclocker forums, they said I may as well make use of the 4GB if it's just for the short term. Yay. =]
