I apologize for my long absence guys, I no longer work on my manageable comics, I now work on gigantic seemingly unmanagable videogame projects and I have finally finished my first respectable game! I dont know if you guys remember but some of my earlier topics here; I pitched my ideas to you guys and you gave me reliable critiques and suggestions. I thank you for that because it helped me create this:

I have been working on SketchBox 360 with my friends for over a year. It is a package of 1-4 player mini games and modes. All the games revolve around 3 unique drawing controls we designed for the Xbox controller. You can download a trial of the game for free on Xbox live indie games. let me know what you think. :D

I downloaded the trial and the first thing I want to say is that the presentation of it is fantastic. A lot of indie games simply don't give a fuck about styles and have crappy looking menus and whatnot, but SB360 is slick and crisp and I dig that. Hell, even the Soulfire logo was nicely done.

The gameplay is alright but it's not really something that'd engage me for a long while though.

Thank you! ^_^ what alot of people have been doing is playing only the single player modes sketch desk and bumpers minigame. but one of the things that really makes this game is SketchetBall and TraceRace (multiplayer only games) as well as the unlock able extras you can get throughout the game. The multiplayer games are excelent party games and if you have more than one controller I highly suggest you try them out. -_^

And if you have what do you think could make SB360 better?

On the surface, Sketchbox 360 appears to be a sort of digital Etch-a-Sketch with a groan-inducing name. And in a way, this is exactly what it is. But it’s functional, lets you save your drawings (the full version does, anyway) and even offers three sketch-based mini games.

One such game, “Bumpers,” is actually quite entertaining. You have to bounce your little smiley face through a series of increasingly complex levels, quickly drawing surfaces for it to bounce off of in order to avoid certain doom. This one little single-player mini game by itself would be worth 80 points, easy, but you also get games made for two (Trace Race) and four (Sketchet Ball) players in the same package.

The package itself is even impressive; sporting sleek menus, a “built-in” MP3 player (i.e. jukebox) and a very believable 360/Etch-a-Sketch hybrid to draw on. There a shocking amount of content to be found in SketchBox 360, and it would be in your best interest not to pass it over simply because it looks like “one of those not-a-game games.”
