I just...I don't even know how to explain the joy. Just cannot explain.

Also credit to Kaycee for showing me the link :D

I applaud you, both for the obscurity of the reference and also because hell yes Sir Dan!

I've never played The Sims btw.

I support your enthusiasm, Celes. I've always been a bit of a Sims fan, and with World Adventures I thought they could've done a lot more to make it seem like a real adventure/puzzle game. Maybe this medieval one will meet my expectations.

PS: I also understood MILF's reference. I want brownie points.

This might be a version of Sims I want to own. The main reason why I get so bored of the Sims normally is that I don't want to simulate my real life of get up, go work and then try and take care of my house.

What type of game would it be! We must dicuss this, Celes! It is far too important for us not to!!!

I know, right!

It sounds to me like it'll be a simulation RPG, but i think that goes without saying. Probably something akin to the likes of Morrowind/Oblivion but not as complex. Or who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us. However, since it's The Sims, I'm pretty certain we'll be able to expect some humorous nods to Ye Olde British times.

Oh lord the possibilities- I really cant' wait :excited:

That's completely irrelevant. The point here is that you didn't think anyone played the best selling game in the world.

This isn't Another Century's Episode. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLH-25hM_XA) Though I guess I should have expected that!

And yeah, Sims is a steamroller PC franchise.

You're joking, right? Or are you really trying to tell me this outsold every console game ever?

No, but it is currently listed as the best selling PC game franchise of all time.

I am interested. The Sims gameplay has always struck me as incredibly boring when you weren't killing them off (and due to limited options, even that got old fast). The fun bit has always been building the most luxurious homes ever. If they expand that to let us build castles, and the shift to a period piece spices up the gameplay, this might be worth picking up.

Who the fuck plays Mario, eh? ;)

Maybe I'll pick up the sims 3 and a bundle of those expansion packs when they're all released in a few years. Until then, I'm awaiting Medievil 3!

I used to play The Sims quite a lot. Espeically The Sims 2. It's a very addictive game. I haven't played The Sims 3 yet, though, and probably won't be interested in buying this version either. It does seem like an interesting idea, and if done right it could be rather good.

Mo-Nercy

Yeah, 3 isn't really as a good as 2 right now. The expansions really need to start coming out hard and fast (Pets better be next after Late Night).

I thought it was kind of obvious that I meant "best selling PC game franchise in the world", considering that's what I wrote in my post right before yours. Doesn't actually change anything though, you're still the one who was uninformed :p.

Don't believe NCG's lies! He's a closet member of Team Edward and a freak when it comes to The Sims. I hear his room is filled, floor-to-ceiling, with The Sims memorabilia.

PS: The Sims franchise outsold the Final Fantasy franchise and is fourth on a list comprised of similar items.
