Sorry if this question has been asked before but I haven't been here in ages and I didn't see it anywhere:

I'm trying to breed a gold chocobo for the first time. I have a Black chocobo and a Wonderful chocobo. I raced them both until they reached S-Class. So, they're both in S-class and when I had them mate I used the Zeio (spelling?) Nut and the outcome was a Black Chocobo! What did I do wrong? It S-class too high? Should I keep breeding them?

Load your game from before you mated them and try again. If you didn't save, wait until they can mate again and then try. You've met all the requirements for getting a Gold Chocobo, so all you need now is luck, it shouldn't take long before you have a gold one!

S-Class is definitely not too high. The higher the class the better chance you'll have at getting what you want.

Never mind! I just reset the game and tried again and got a gold one. Sorry, I'm embarrassed now.

No worries! I'm glad you made the thread, if nobody had questions then this would be a pretty boring forum! Either way, awesome that it all worked out in the end. Off to get Knights of the round!

Could've sworn you needed a different nut for the last mating xD This will be handy when I get up to that part in my Lets Play

You do, the Zeio nut is only used for mating a black chocobo with a wonderful chocobo.

Make sure you have a male-goldchocobo, and not a female. Males have higher speed :)

Cid's Knight is what the moderators are called here, so yes. I'm sure he just forgot!
