Ooooof this is hard! Cloud's Theme and Aeris's theme are both brilliantly atmospheric. I love walking around the World Map on Disc 1, listening to Cloud's Theme play, and singing along with lyrics I made up. Aeris's theme adds so much emotion to every scene it is used in too, especially you-know-what.

But then there are others. Vincent's and Sephiroth's themes are terrifying in a fantastic way, and again really set the mood when they are used. One of the most brilliant uses of music in a video game I've seen is during the part of Cloud's Past where Cloud approaches Sephiroth in the basement of the mansion with just the heartbeats going on in the background:

ba-bum, ba-bum, ba-bum
Out of my way, I'm going to see my mother!
*cue the choir*

I adore Cid's and Tifa's theme, and JENOVA's is fantastic as well. I think my vote in the the end though has to go to a theme that isn't heard very often in FFVII (and can indeed not be heard at all), and that is the wonderful Yuffie's theme. I used to refrain from moving along with the dialogue in the scene where you capture her, just so I could hear that music in its entirety. Ad I'd let it play about 7 times. Really love that wonderful, cheerful melody.

I could've quite easily voted for any of these. I chose Cid's Theme because it is full of determination, and because Sending a Dream into the Universe is almost the same song and it is probably my favourite track in the game.

I refuse to vote for Aerith's Theme because it makes me sad and wimpy :colbert:

I really think that J-E-N-O-V-A is the best song period in the game, and up there in a list of Uematsu's best. I'll go with that.

I love J-E-N-O-V-A too, but I couldn't go past Yuffie's because it reminds me a lot of another song I quite like.

A tough choice but I went with Red XIII. His theme is just too funkeh!

The VII tournament is closed, I'm really surprised that Jenova won as well cause I was really thinking it would have been Aerith, Tifa, or Sephiroth's themes that would have won. Shows what I know. ;)

FFVIII is next.
