For those who haven't read it, the link is here (http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Animal%20Crossing/index.html) because I'm changing my sig.

I didn't write it, but I'm interested to see how people react to it. Post what you think!

Now back on topic.

My brother-in-law sent me this some time ago. I found it almost amusing. Almost.

Being that AC is a video game, I shall move this to Gen Gaming.

D'oh. My bad, Shlup. I just didn't think about that.

EDIT: ...Almost?

That's actually pretty good from her.

I always knew that Tom Nook is really evil. He's a true villain, but he's quite a smooth talker, that one is, yes. The only other villager on par to him is Mr. Resetti, but he only appears whenever you forget to save your game. Tom Nook is always there. Except when his store is closed!

Did you read the whole thing, Proto?

Tom turns out to be not evil. He's trying to help Billy and save his insane, dying wife.

This terrified me when I read it last year!

PENNY :stare:

I read that a couple years ago then she moved into my town the next day and I screamed. :(

It terrified me when I read it three months ago.

EDIT: Poor traumatized Qwerty.

It's OK, I used signposts to block access to her house and gave her a warm welcome of constant bug catching nets to the head and lovely letters with death threats and garbage I fished up.

Playing Animal Crossing always depresses me. This tale is apt.

And I hate that bus driver. HATES HIM. :stare:

It bored me too much to finish. Perhaps it's because I've never played Animal Crossing.

I doubt I'll ever play Animal Crossing now. This has killed it for me.

I haven't seen or heard of this before. I haven't played much Animal Crossing in the past, but I know enough about the game and Tom Nook's role to understand this interpretation.

It's odd how it seamlessly transitions from funny to really smurfing disturbing. This definitely gets forwarded on to my girlfriend, who's an avid fan of the games, even though this may end her obsession with them.

Someone just needs to do the same thing with The Sims and Okami and she'll be off games forever. xD

Yeah, but then probably so will I. Just knowing that someone will rape my enjoyment of a game with a terrifying story could make me quit playing it.

Glad you liked it though, Mo. If 'like' is the right word.

EDIT: I didn't notice that the first chapter after you get the box is called Weighted Companion Box. Everybody loves Portal! :D
