View Full Version : Mindsmurf Mafia - GAME OVER - Town Win - The Triple H gods are the heroes!
[M] Mom – Host
08-19-2010, 10:21 PM
My children, all is not well on Mount Olympus. The inflated egos of the gods have finally become too big to coexist. A group of rogue gods threatens our very survival. We must find these traitors and smite them, before they destroy everything we've built. I mean, who in hades wants to be part of a religion with only a handful of gods? That's so boring!
Welcome to Mindsmurf Mafia. I hope you enjoy playing. Remember, take nothing for granted, but at the same time, don't try to think about it too much.
Game Rules:
The game will be played with a 24 hour day period, followed by a 24 hour night period.
The exception to this is Day 0, which has no night period. Day 1 will start immediately after Day 0.
During the day phase of the game you may all post freely in the game thread. Please post with your mafia accounts and not your real EoFF account. Non-mafia account posts will be deleted. There is a discussion thread where you can post as your real account.
Based on the discussions during the day and your own knowledge, you must vote for one player to be lynched at the end of the day. Voting is mandatory. Not voting will result in your vote being cast against yourself for that day.
Please vote based on the following model:
To vote type ##Vote: [Player]
To unvote type ##Unvote: [Player]
Only votes made in this manner will be counted.
You may vote/unvote as many times as you like. Only your most recent vote will be counted.
The day ends after 24 hours are up or the town reaches a majority vote on one player.
During the night phase, players with night actions may mognet message them to Del Murder (NOT Zeus).
The night ends after 24 hours are up or everyone has gotten in their night actions.
Game Roles:
There are a variety of roles in this game, including never-before-seen roles.
You will not be told your specific role on Day 0. You will only be told if you are pro-town or anti-town.
I'm not going to tell you what the roles are, you have to figure that out on your own!
Okay, okay. I will tell you there are no Jesters in this game, and no alignment-changing roles in this game.
I will also mention that there are both Vanilla Town and Mafia in this game (in case you thought this was the "12 Serial Killer, 12 Doctor, 1 Roleblocker" setup, which I did consider doing).
Players in the game:
Aphrodite - Vanilla Town (Logie) - Lynched Day 6
Apollo - Mega Bomb (Shattered Dreamer) - Lynched Day 3
Ares - Reincarnated Serial Killer (Timekeeper) - Lynched Day 5
Artemis - Sane Insane Cop (Shiny) - Killed Night 3

Day 0 has ended.
The gods took some time to get used to their new earthly bodies. This was all new to them. These all-seeing gods weren't used to not fully knowing their true powers. As they argued amongst themselves as to what this could possibly mean, Pandora made her way through the crowd carrying, you guessed it, a large box.
She placed it firmly on the ground and proclaimed "I bring this box as a gift from Zeus. Inside is power beyond your wildest dreams, but opening it comes with a price. Who among you is brave enough to do so?"
The gods all looked at each other. Finally, Medusa stepped forward and approached the box. Timidly, she opened it, and as she did so a wave of light hit her and sent her flying. All the powers of the gods came spilling out of the box and the gods became enlightened. But what of poor Medusa? Opening Pandora's Box made her cursed, and left her powerless. :(

There is no Night 0 so Day 1 begins right now! Day 0 was a non-lynch vote (don't worry, this was the only one). For getting the most votes on Day 0, Medusa's vote will not count on Day 1. She will also not be recieving her official role information until the start of Day 2 (if she survives that long). Everyone else will be receiving their official role pmed to their Mafia account shortly.
With 24 (voting) players it takes 13 for a majority lynch. Good luck guys! Day 1 ends in 24 hours from now or when a majority lynch is reached.

Whenever I see these "don't call out the cop/doctor" posts I feel like someone is trying too hard to look like town. Especially when no one's asking anything of a potential cop/doctor.
More interesting things usually happen on Day one, so I'm sure I'll see something worth placing a more definite vote on later. For now Hestia is just a tiny iota more suspicious than the rest of the bunch to me.

Whenever I see these "don't call out the cop/doctor" posts I feel like someone is trying too hard to look like town. Especially when no one's asking anything of a potential cop/doctor.

However, calling out a Doctor or Cop early in the game is always bad/scummy play. Not much has really happened yet. I find it weird that he's covering for another person, shrugging them off as town. How can he be so sure, and what does he have to gain from doing that? Like he said, it's only Day 0, how can he know anything about Dionysus? I don't know, just a hunch. I'd say my vote is likely to change, but I have work in 3 hours, so this is most likely it.
Oh Hera, Dionysus is likely a new player and I believe we do have quite a few of them in this game, so it is most likely that Hestia is only giving advice despite not knowing anyone's role at all. After all, it was Day 0.

I still don't know what to do or say, so I'll just give my probably useless opinion on things that seem to be an issue.
People bandwaggoning on Medusa: Really, I don't think this is a sign of scum, not here anyway. It just seemed 3 people after Hygieia wanted to joke vote and everyone went for Medusa.
Everything to do with Dionysus: This seems to be the only thing so far that is actually scummy at all. Hestia gives some advice, Dionysus claims he is a new player, Hera questions Hestia, Tyche defends Hestia, Hestia makes a slightly cryptic post, and ends with something about how hopefully Medusa is Mafia.

I think some people are focusing too much on Day 0 votes. We had zero knowledge Day 0 and no one was in remotely any danger (13 needed for a majority, after all). Most of them seemed to just be joke votes and roleplaying. It's possible a Day 0 vote may help to reveal something, but I think it'd be much more helpful to focus on actions made after that. The "bandwagoning" on Medusa may be scummy (though most were just commenting "ew, snakes"), but if so it is the most incompetent mafia group I can imagine. The only comments about Medusa being mafia happened after that, including by someone who didn't even vote for Medusa (Hestia).
Hades;2900851']Did anyone actually see Hermes' roleclaim? Roleclaiming annoys me, so I'm gonna vote for the fleet of footed guy.
##vote: Hermes
I'm not sure why you decided to vote based on an obvious joke roleclaim, though I agree that roleclaiming is annoying. This makes me a little suspicious. Though I also agree that Hermes's response was overly defensive. Eh, there's probably nothing there. But Hermes's actions seemed more annoying than scummy.
However, I haven't seen anything yet to make me change my original Hestia vote, so I will stick with that.

Yes, I AM FURIOUS!!!!! :mad2:
Naw, sorry. I'm happy you voted for me. I love having an excuse to rip into people who think they're God's gift (Geddit?!!!!?!?!) in mafia games :jess:
Just once, just once I'd like it if they admitted their logic was flawed instead of trying to act all smug and superior. ...ah who am I kidding, I love having more ammunition for my brilliant internet put downs.
Some tips, for you, on how to become a better mafia player:
Joking around the entire time, seemingly not even able to take yourself seriously then apparently not seeing another player's blatant as hell joke (I mean really, Ronald Reagan) is kinda suspicious
As is repeatedly attempting to paint someone who makes fun of your dumb ass as angry rather than actually responding to the criticism.
I also like how you're trying to say I am afraid of being lynched. Nice touch there, the ol' putting words into someone's mouth! ...but a big no no if you don't want to be seen as a bad guy, might wanna cut that one out.
Still, I have to give you credit for changing your vote reason now that you've been called out on the old one. That's not remotely suspi...oh. Ohhhh.
Stop sucking. Always helps!
These tips are free of charge...if you remove your vote for me, that is! ;) Nobody has ever voted for me in a mafia game, you see, and that's why I am raging/whining/masturbating furiously/whatever it is you're saying I'm doing.

Well, let's see. I pretty much said I used no logic at all in my vote. I voted for you because you were annoying. An assessment you continue to prove with every post you make.
You like to have an excuse to rip into people who think they're good at mafia? I never said I was good at mafia. All I did was vote for you because I had to vote for somebody and thus far, you're the only one who's given me any kind of reason to do so: jackassery.
At any rate, it'd be cool if you stopped acting as if what you're doing is a service to the mafia denizens. The real reason for your abject assholery is the fact that you're a very angry, frustrated, sad person who lacks viable communication skills. I half-jokingly voted for you, you attacked me. So, I was infact incorrect earlier. You're not defensive at all. You're offensive. What reason on earth would you have for flipping your :bou::bou::bou::bou: as such? Unless you're just a jerk 24/7, which is entirely possible.
I'll answer your list, though. Just for :bou::bou::bou::bou:s.
1) I understand your roleclaim was a joke. All I said is it was annoying and unfunny. Truthfulness is suspicious behavior? Maybe on your homeplanet of Twatface it is.
2) You started calling me names and mocking me. This type of behavior is seated in love? Medusa lost her ability to vote yesterday for no reason at all and she's not being as much a bitch as you are. I don't think I'd be alone in assuming your reactions were seated in anger and resentment.
3) Again, I don't think I'd be alone in assuming you don't want to be lynched. Do any of us want to be? Your argument here is silly, because I'm not even sort of trying to paint you as scum. I'm not trying to paint you as anything, I'm just irritated by assholes.
4) It took a lot of practice to get as good as I am. I've won awards.

I am indeed a sad lonely furious angry person who acts like a jerk 24/7 and that is why I called you out. I don't know how you could've possibly worked out all the various intimate details of my personality from a couple of posts in a forum game, but gee golly gosh, you did it! You caught me. You caught me real good there, Internet Sheriff. Take me to e-jail and throw away the key!
Still, allow me to retort to your razor sharp witticisms:
your gay.
faggot.
:smug:
1) I understand your roleclaim was a joke. All I said is it was annoying and unfunny. It's suspicious to vote for me for being annoying and unfunny when that's all you've been in this game. Do you see how that works, or would you like me to explain it with a delightful puppet show?
At any rate, it'd be cool if you stopped acting as if what you're doing is a service to the mafia denizens. But it is! They're loving this. You. Me. A whole lotta internet smackdown. They're creaming themselves. Fuck the boring day one lamevotes. This is the party right here.
I don't think I'd be alone in assuming your reactions were seated in anger and resentmentWhen you assume you make an ASS out of U and ME bro!!! Anyway I've cleared it up. There aint no anger or resentment. Just my way of having fun in this crazy game.
Again, I don't think I'd be alone in assuming you don't want to be lynched.I don't want to be lynched, but I don't really care enough to get ANGRY about it, and I don't think I displayed ANGER like you claimed, either.
It took a lot of practice to get as good as I am. I've won awards. hey me too let's compare them! I won Best Overall EoFF Mafia Player. How about you? :greenie:
ps: herpestius or w/e, read again. I am not saying joking is suspicious. I am saying joking, then voting for somebody else's joke post is a contradiction and therefore odd.

Alright, so now we have some actual discussion going on. Yes, it's most based around me, but I expected that. Time to take off the gloves.
Explanation of my posts thus far:
Yes, this post is 100% unnecessary. Any good player will know that wasn't a serious roleblame *I like the word*. (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900519-post65.html) Why was the post made? To draw out some actual mafia talk because somebody was going to comment on the encounter and we'd get to learn something from the responses.
Important posts on the topic I noticed:
Hera, post 84. Obviously, I noticed this one. (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900667-post84.html) The post just didn't sit right with me. If you think I say something bad, go for it, finger of suspicion me and call me out! But this isn't that, it's "I kinda, sorta, maybe, a little, teeny, tiny, think x is mafia". It's trying to draw attention to me, without drawing attention to yourself. Obviously, I ended up following this lead for more with Hera, but I've yet to hear more from her.
Next I made this post (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900714-post89.html). This post is my trap. It's got two parts. The important part:
Hestia;2900714']You can interpret however you choose, either I'm giving advice to try and help beginners sort out how to play messy mafia or I'm just trying to look town. I can't sway how you interpret actions. However, calling out a Doctor or Cop early in the game is always bad/scummy play.
People who questioned this first part are on my good list. This is obviously defensive, an unnecessary response to a really, really weak finger of suspicion. Really, if I wanted to play defensively best not even commenting on that would've been the best option. With that said, people who questioned that are absolutely looking for the right reasons to question someone. Why was Hestia being so defensive?
And the NOT-Important part:
Hestia;2900714']Not much has really happened yet. With any luck Medusa is mafia and we delayed her a day from finding out who her buddies are! :)
This is the worthless part of the post. It's unimportant, a "Thank you captain obvious' statement. Of course the town is better off if Medusa was scum and couldn't find out the details of her role, then if she was a townie playing blind! Why do I even need to point this fact out? Why? To draw out some scum trying to force an argument against me of course! I've already accomplished making myself look suspicious and twisting this stupid irrelevant statement could be the 'nail in the coffin' later on during a bandwagon.
Important posts after this:
Hades Post 92 (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900732-post92.html). Most of this post is fine, pointing out relevant arguments that I've already said are purposefully in my posts to encourage conversation. When we get to here though:
Hades;2900732']
Hestia;2900714']
Hera;2900667']Looking through Day 0 there's not much to get from, so I'll just post my thoughts on the only post that stuck out.
Hestia;2900519']
Dionysus;2900516']WAIT! Zeus is SMURFING with us. Medusa's probably the doctor.
Any reasoning for this? No, didn't think so. Also, if there was a reason you don't call out the doctor. With that said, I can make a bet you are new and unaware that you don't just make random uneducated claims. Don't let it happen again bub :jess:
Whenever I see these "don't call out the cop/doctor" posts I feel like someone is trying too hard to look like town. Especially when no one's asking anything of a potential cop/doctor.
More interesting things usually happen on Day one, so I'm sure I'll see something worth placing a more definite vote on later. For now Hestia is just a tiny iota more suspicious than the rest of the bunch to me.
You can interpret however you choose, either I'm giving advice to try and help beginners sort out how to play messy mafia or I'm just trying to look town. I can't sway how you interpret actions. However, calling out a Doctor or Cop early in the game is always bad/scummy play. Not much has really happened yet. With any luck Medusa is mafia and we delayed her a day from finding out who her buddies are! :)
Like I said, I don't think anyone would really legitimize any type of role claim/blame this early in the game. But why, then are you subtly accusing Medusa of being mafia? Not especially cautious, though you admonish others for the lack thereof. Interesting.
I clearly never accuse Medusa of anything in my post. I state how it would be better for town if Medusa was mafia so we don't have one of our own blind to her role. Could be a simple misread, still, I don't trust it.
Poseidon Post 107 (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900801-post107.html). Same thing as Hades, claims I'm calling Medusa mafia. I clearly never did that. Does question why I'm being so defensive though, I like that in a man :jokey:
Hebe, post 118 and the bandwagon is complete (something, something, something complete). (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900871-post118.html) This is the most suspicious post of them all to me though! Why? Hebe adds nothing, is clearly bandwagoning on an established candidate for lynched and "pretends" to analyze my latest post. If you read through Hebe's post on my last you learn nothing. You don't even know why Hebe finds me suspicious. She says I'm being "cryptic" without ever explaining what she's talking about when she says that or why she's saying it! And then ends with the "oh and he's bandwagoning on Medusa" tactic that's already been stated (and wrong) 3 times. (And after all that she even withholds from voting for me xD)
[u]Hestia's Vestal List of Suspicious Helots![u]
You've made one important post and it was very, very fishy for reasons stated above
Hades. Besides being the first to smurf up with my irrelevant statement trap, you've also been played like a fiddle by Hermes. *Yes, I 100% support Hermes in you're little debacle.*
Poseidon, using rehashed, wrong logic.
Hera, if you were town I really expected you to rip into me for being so defensive.

I just don't see the point in roleclaiming. If I said HEY I'M THE DOCTOR DON'T TAZE ME BRO what good can come of that? If I'm mafia, the mafia already know I'm mafia and they're gonna leave me alone but townies who have 2 braincells to rub together will see me as suspicious as hell. If I'm any non-mafia, mafia will kill me unless they have someone more dangerous lined up, because I'm an easy mark. If I really am the Doctor why would I draw attention to myself? I just don't see how roleclaiming anything works out well in the end. Unless you roleclaim Nexus or Bulletproof and are Nexus or Bulletproof.

Hestia, I know I wasn't really adding anything new, and was bandwaggoning. In fact, I pretty much said that. The part of the post that I found to be slightly cryptic is...
Hestia;2900714']You can interpret however you choose, either I'm giving advice to try and help beginners sort out how to play messy mafia or I'm just trying to look town. I can't sway how you interpret actions.
Something about that seemed off to me, and it seemed like, as I said, you were trying to defend yourself without making it look like you were defending yourself. That is what I meant by "cryptic", although that may not have been the right word. "Misleading", possibly, but whatever.
Also, what did I say about Medusa? I said it's probably nothing to look at. How was this in any way linked to you? Also, of course I didn't vote for you, there's still time in the day. Why would I vote for you then when I can wait until now?
Now to look over your new post...
Hestia;2900919']
Hestia;2900714']You can interpret however you choose, either I'm giving advice to try and help beginners sort out how to play messy mafia or I'm just trying to look town. I can't sway how you interpret actions. However, calling out a Doctor or Cop early in the game is always bad/scummy play.

It seems to me that you are trying here to make people think of your posts in a different way. As if you are trying to say "No, it wasn't a scummy thing to say, it was just a trap, expect this more often now and be sure to keep this in mind next time I do something scummy". Ok, I am now confused. But Hestia, it seems a bit weird to me that you admit your entire post was wrong and suspicious-by-design… and then in turn cast suspicion on the only people who actually pointed out your post for the reason you said your post SHOULD have caused suspicion (and simultaneously calling suspicion on someone else for NOT calling out your post). In fact, I think my original “defensive” criticism of you (which you actually praised) still applies. I actually do agree with you that Hebe did bandwagon a little bit… but only on me saying you were being defensive, which is exactly what you said we should be doing. I don’t really know what to make of your “explanation” at this point.
Hades, since I originally pointed him out, has only further aroused my suspicion. I’m not sure what he’s trying to accomplish. But his suspicious acts could potentially be explained away as an amateur or bad player, though, so I won’t change my vote for now.
I don’t see any real reason yet to vote for anyone else yet, so as I have to vote I guess my vote for Hestia will stay. It doesn’t look like anyone will be lynched today, anyway.

Given that I'm one of 7 players tied on 2 votes I'm starting to worry my ass might get lynched. 4 of us have been voted for by 2 other players with 3 others only being on 2 because of self votes. So time to act to save my godly a$$ as its currently me vs Hades vs Tyche Hestia.
Tyche honestly hasn't posted enough for me to get any impression of them as a player & from what I can see the votes for them are totally random.
Hestia again I see no major scumish behavior. Again random Day 1 voting.
Hades on the other hand has spent most of Day 1 arguing with Hermes (whom I'm not suspicious of all they have done is speak their mind) & post general nonsense which I feel is a hindrance to town. Not to mention the roleclaim!!
So as a result my vote is now

Poseidon;2900986']Ok, I am now confused.
I was suspicious of you three not because of your response to the beginning of my post, but because of how you either misinterpreted or twisted the second part. Not really difficult to figure out *shrug*.

I really have no idea who to vote for after reading the thread. The most suspicious to me is Hades and Hermes, because they aren't doing anything to help the town, but I don't believe strongly enough that either one of them is Mafia to place a vote on them. I'm currently in no danger of being lynched, so for the time being I'd rather have my own vote on myself and go back and reread everything to get a better understanding of the days events.

Hold the phone, it looks like we have a tie. It is now between Hades and Hephaestus with 3 votes each. The first person to vote for either of these gods will determine who gets lynched. If you already voted for one you can only change your vote to the other.
Votecount - Sudden Death
Hades (3) - Hera, Hermes, Apollo
Hephaestus (3) - Asclepius, Persephone, (self-vote)
Apollo (2) - Artemis, Hemera
Tyche (2) - Helios, Nyx

Hermes (1) - Hades
Hemera (0) - Apollo
Cerberus (0) - Hermes
Not voting:

With their true powers unleashed, the gods stepped up their game. Old relationships were tested, past alliances were broken. Sons accused mothers, sisters accused brothers. One argument in particular got pretty heated.
Hades: haha i am so awesome
Hermes: haha no i am
Hades: no ur gay
Hermes: no u
The rest of the gods sat back and watched the entertainment. Hephaestus left to go get some popcorn at the Mount Olympus concession stand (10 drachma for a small? Outrageous!). On his way there he heard a sweet sound. A soft, melodious singing. He had to find the source, nothing else mattered. He ended up on the island of the sirens, and listened attentively as they continued their alluring song. Afterward, they moved on, but one of them stayed behind and stuck her hand out, waiting. "Oh, a tip?" asked Hephaestus, patting himself down as he did so. "Sorry, I can't spare any change, you know, with this economy." The siren was not pleased with this response so it ate him.

Night and then day finally broke on Mount Olympus. The gods had a tiresome couple of days and were grateful for the extra time to sort things out. When Helios's chariot finally signified morning, the gods heard a voice from below. "Hey, down here," it said. They looked around but saw nothing. "Down here, under the world." All eyes went to Hades, but he shook his head. "DOWN HERE!" Finally they looked down to see Atlas, holder of the world, was speaking. "Zeus wanted me to give you something," he said. "A note. Hold on."
He reached into his back pocket to take out the note, but he forgot that the world takes two hands to carry. He dropped it and it went rolling, and poor Athena, Cerberus, and Medusa were crushed.
Athena was a Blind Vanilla Town Handcuffed to Another Blind Vanilla Town, played by f f freak. Thanks for playing!
Cerberus was a Blind Vanilla Town Handcuffed to Another Blind Vanilla Town, played by Guardian XIII. Thanks for playing!
Medusa was a Vanilla Town, played by eternal essence and Jiro. Thanks for playing! Sorry you didn't get to learn your role before you died. =/
"Oh, sorry about that," Atlas shrugged. "Anyway, here is the note." He read it: "My children, as Atlas knows it takes great strength to hold up the world. There are some among you who have shown that strength with your peers, being so revered to have not gotten any votes thus far. For that reason I am making Dionysus and Hygieia king and queen of Olympus for the day, giving them twice the say in all matters that take place."
Game Info:
For not getting any votes cast against them so far (including self-votes at the end of the day for not voting), Dionysus and Hygieia's votes will count double today (their single vote will count twice; they do not get two votes).
Day ends in 24 hours or with a majority lynch. With 23 votes to be cast it takes 12 votes for a majority.

Apollo is only scared because their votes combined would total 4, and if you have noticed, 4 votes would be enough to lynch someone because of the vote spread among us. It's also a third of the 12 votes required for a majority. That's reason enough to be afraid of them. However, I'm not scared, nor should anyone else. Now lets get serious shall we? Grandpa Apollo, I have double voting power because mainly of simple blind luck. On day zero we were all thrown into this with blindfolds on, and everything we did was a stab in the dark. On day 1 I was playing video games and got sidetracked. By this point after so many games on day one, when having to choose between a loud-mouth and someone who's quiet, I choose the quiet person. Angry screamers or jokey jokers are the 'prime targets' that always seem to get lynched day one and usually end up town. There has been a lot of talk about Hestia's vote to kill Hephaestus and (allegedly) save Hades. But, just five minutes before the end of the day, Persephone voted for Hephaestus and tied up the game. Persephone saved Hades. Maybe she wants to take him up on his offer, or maybe they're already in cahoots?
Either way, there's something not quite right about that.

a few things.
1. It was a tiebreaker. only Hephestus and Hades could be voted for
2. You can say that I voted for you playing the game, but it is not why I voted for you. It is because I see your logic as flawed and hollow to get the town to destroy itself.
3. I didn't attack you for Hestia's sake. I did it because you look like scum. If I think she looks like scum then I'll attack her as well.
4. I can always change my vote. I might do that if you stop being scum soon. I don't feel they are going to waste because they are going on someone who I feel is scum.

I have seen nothing yet to remove my original suspicion of Hestia. I have no idea what to think of her vote which saved Hades, who she had said she was suspicious of, in favor of someone who hadn't done much. To me it seems to really contradict roles for both town and mafia. But her arguing about her vote and laughably dismissing any criticism does not comfort me.
@Hebe: There's a difference between inactive and voting for someone laying low.
This is completely true. But in your suspicious list posted earlier in Day 1, you included Hades, but not Hephaestus. Your claims to have any sort of reason to be suspicious of Hephaestus only came in Day 2 to defend your vote. This also seems very suspicious to me.
Apollo has also made my radar today. But I'm not sure if his constant, argumentative posts are scummy or just amateurish. Him randomly casting suspicion on the two people who now have more voting style based on the chance of the game mechanics is just sloppy either way.

Apollo's posts are confusing me. In every post he has made he has followed someone else's thoughts, it seems. Has he made his own thoughts yet in any post?
My thoughts on some people of interest to me...
Hades: He was very loud and argued strongly against someone. I don't really have a read on him, but he's acting exactly the way I did when I was first scum. I don't know what to think about that.
Hestia: I have already explained my suspicions on her, I don't feel like restating them again. I still don't like how she decided to vote off Hephaestus.
Apollo: Is playing it safe, but is posting a lot. It's like he is trying to hide in plain sight. It worrys me.
Persephone: I missed her voting for Hephaestus. That worry's me as well, because she is laying so low that I actually didn't notice her.

Hades is also still on my "suspicious list," though has been silent recently (which may be suspicious itself, speaking of lying low).
If I had to vote right now, it would be for Hestia again.
I think you could see her vote to save me in a few ways. 1) We're both scum and we know it. 2) She is scum and the scum are keeping me around to be their scapegoat. 3) Felt sorry for me, which I serious doubt in this game. 4) Is telling the truth about her reasoning. Take those things as you will, because I know how I'm being painted. That being said, however, I would like to take the opportunity to delve into some of the bigger aspersions cast upon me.
I fail to see how my behavior thus far is scummy. Until this post I have employed no logic whatsoever in my voting style because there was no type of evidence upon which to base a vote. I could've voted for Medusa, because she had snakey hair. Because that line of logic is way gooder and smart. My initial vote was for Hermes because, and here's where I was actually being stupid, I thought he'd made a legitimate roleclaim that'd been edited to RONALD REAGAN by Zeus Murder. After realizing the error of my ways, I just kept my vote with Hermes for no other reason than he was pissing me off. However, I also knew that Hermes would never be in any danger of being lynched. Just in danger of getting his ass whipped by me. ;) When one has no evidence to go upon, one makes a safe vote that will not get one in trouble. Or so I thought, anyway. Not only did the majority of the other gods accuse me of acting scummy for being random, though several of them admitted to making their day 0 votes at random; they also basically accused me of being dumb.
Take from the above whatever you like, I'll go on with my suspicions below.
I think Apollo is behaving rather suspiciously. He has, several times through the course of this thread, chastised bandwagon behavior. However, his vote for me seems pretty strange. Shortly after Hermes and I started our war of words Apollo admonished the both of us for arguing, saying that it was distracting. These posts followed:
Apollo;2900863']
Hermes;2900861']Shoe polish? smurf that noise. What you really want to do is spray a can of deodorant into a plastic bag then put it over your head. That's where the money's at. Also the pretty butterflies that won't stop screaming.
Also sorry Appy, I just have to make fun of people that do things like that. I cannot help it. I have tried and tried but I can't restrain myself. It's who I am. I will try, for you, but so help me god if he pulls the "WHY YOU SO DEFENSIVE?" line then I can't hold myself responsible.
I forgive you my child! Overly defensive behavior isn't helpful to town & must be punished severely!!!
Within a single interaction Apollo went from chastising both of us to calling for my severe punishment for "overly defensive behavior." Beg pardon? Hermes was the first to be defensive over my vote for him. I admittedly retaliated, but I didn't even instigate the war of words and I was accused of being overly defensive.
This, though, is what really concerns me.
Apollo;2900991']##Unvote:Hemera
Despite my utter distrust of Hemera for deciding to vote for me for pretty much no reason, I see no point in wasting my vote.
So as a result my vote is now
##vote: Hades
I have no issue with the vote for me, but I have an issue with the reasoning employed. He has no suspicion of Hermes and considers me at complete fault for the ensuing fallout, which other gods may also. Even so, I made a "safe vote" with a semi-ridiculous reasoning and was raked over the coals for it. That's not even the weirdest part of this line of reasoning, though. It gets weirder, because Apollo then states he believes my posting of "general nonsense" is a hindrance to the town. Not only is Apollo guilt of this behavior himself, he participated in her Hades/Hermes nonsense as well (discussed performing a stunner on me.) Finally... and this could be a misread... but I feel the final statement in this post accuses me of a roleclaim. Perhaps I am mistaken, perhaps Apollo meant to say my issue with a roleclaim... but I really would like to have some light shed on that statement. What roleclaim are you speaking of and how does a roleclaim make me suspicious?
While I do agree with Poseidon's assessment of his suspicions of Hestia, Hestia herself has brought some pretty damning evidence to light about Apollo, with whom I already have issue. His conflicting statements were designed to entrap her. I wonder why he's changing his tactics.
I'm not ready to make a decision at this point, because there are more people I'd like to hear from and, of course, I'd like to give Apollo a chance to respond.

An update on my suspicion list. Still consists Hestia, for reasons given previously by myself and other players. (The tie-breaking however means nothing to me until I learn more about Hades's alignment.).
Hades is still there. The argument from yesterday is suspicious, but not damning evidence. I think the whole "RONALD REAGON was a Zeus edit" excuse is pretty shaky.
New to the list is Asclepius. I find this person a bit suspicious. Running a search on posts by his name in this thread turns up flirty role playing posts and two "real" posts. My mistake, Helios has actually posted six times. The first (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900412-post43.html) was saying 'I won't be here much, oh btw I'm voting persephone.'
Post two (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900726-post90.html) came on day 2 and was another throwaway vote for no reason.
Third (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2901302-post168.html) post was asking about the nature of the handcuffed townies role. Honestly I think it was pretty self explanatory.
Post number four (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2901312-post171.html) was wordy with not a lot said. In short: 'vote for those who voted for dead townies.' A nice idea, but not all of those guys would be scum, if any.
Post five (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2901319-post174.html) has a bit about inactives, but to his credit says "Thinking they're suspicious based on a decision made by the moderator? WUT." Aimed at Apollo, I assume, but a good thought there.
Last post, number six (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2901368-post187.html), votes for Persephone and then leaves, with the only justification "she voted for a dead townie." Not the strongest piece of evidence on its own.

I'd honestly feel insulted if anyone says that Hades, Persephone, and I are all mafia. For two people to stack votes to save one of their own on Day One would be a foolish tactic, linking the mafia far too close to each other.
With that said Persephone's vote is just seems obvious in an attempt to save Hades. Keeping in mind all possibilities I feel that perhaps there is another reason why Persephone would want to stop a lynch on Hades. Perhaps a lovers-esc role?
In all, I see the possibility of the entire Hades tie situation being something the mafia could use far too easily to their advantage. It brings someone to blame. If not me, then Persephone, if not Persephone, then Hades, for dodging the noose in the first place!
Which is why I'll be leaving for a few hours (sleep) and I'll be leaving my vote on Apollo as he's been the biggest person to appear to try to get all of the attention around yesterday's tie!

I have a correction to make.
Hera;2901435']An update on my suspicion list.
One is where he swooped in to leave the first vote on Hephaestus Day 1, see here (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2900935-post141.html), and another was Day 2, which can be viewed here (http://forums.eyesonff.com/2901335-post181.html). The "random generator" excuse for voting just doesn't sit right with me. It's pretty much saying "I'm watching you 'kay bye for awhile."
Aphrodite and Artemis have yet to say anything of use. A search on posts from Ares turns up nothing. Is his account in play?
A few sentences seem to have gone missing. Maybe in the middle of typing it up I deleted something intending to edit it and forgot to finish. Here's what I meant to say:

The "random generator" excuse for voting just doesn't sit right with me. It's a convenient way to absolve yourself of any connection to your own vote. I feel like it's something mafia would do if they were overly afraid of drawing negative attention. The second post is just lame. It's pretty much saying "I'm watching you 'kay bye for awhile."

And let's add one more vote for Persephone. She has yet to say something useful that would clear her name! Your luck is running out, Queen of the Underworld!
##Vote: Persephone
Perhaps I will change my mind at a later time, but for now, this will be my vote.
