Got caught up with this so-called piece of news. Apparently she's regaining her first amendment rights. TBH It's almost sensible a claim if not for the fact that she was a radio personality and thus knowingly limited her freedom of speech rights.

That said, good riddance.

The First Amendment doesn't prohibit anyone other than the government from restricting free speech, so her claim that her First Amendment rights are being violated is completely nonsensical.

A day after talk radio host Laura Schlessinger quit her show, following criticism for using the N-word repeatedly in a broadcast, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin told her: "Don't retreat . . . reload!"

Very ironic coming from Palin.

Palin wrote in a post on Twitter that Schlessinger's First Amendment rights "ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence" her. Such activism "isn't American, not fair," she added.

Schlessinger struck the same chord in an interview with Larry King in which she announced her decision. "The reason is, I want to regain my First Amendment rights. I want to be able to say what is on my mind," she said.

These people are both retarded and have no smurfing clue what the Constitution is or what it does. The Constitution does not shield you from public criticism if you say stupid :bou::bou::bou::bou:.

idk about america, but afaik i know in canada hate speech isn't covered by freedom of speech.

also, as for sarah palin, she's equally racist (honestly, "don't retreat, reload" is quite possibly one of the WORST things she could have said), sexist, etc. i actually screen capped her twitter the other day because it was, well, priceless:
