The absolute best way to make a sandwich is by using the following:

wheat bread
honey mustard
ranch dressing
swiss cheese
spinach
turkey breast
avocado
tomato
onions
and more honey mustard

Roast beef french dip sandwiches come in next.

What is your favorite (inferior) way to make the ultimate sandwich?

Ham, Cheese, Tomato, Lettuce and some seedy mustard. I forget what the mustard is really called but it is goddamn delicious.

I gave up being a vegetarian. I flew back home for a few weeks and everyone was all OMG HERE HAVE SOME MEAT and I was like fiiiine. And that was the end of that.

also gross I hate mustard. :(

I approve. Chicken is way too good to give up.

On a more serious note, my typical sandwich:

Chicken or turkey
Cheese (usually provolone or swiss)
lettuce
onions
peppers
And most importantly, NO honey mustard or mayo or any other disgusting crap. Yuck.

My next go-to sandwich would be a toasted roast beef and cheddar.

That is almost exactly how I also gave up being a vegetarian except I was 12 and I didn't fly anyplace.

I just want to take the opportunity to say that I have been working at a deli for four years now, and I am the best damn sandwich maker you may ever find. I've made all these sandwiches you have all posted hundreds, perhaps thousands, of times.

And Wes, you eat your sandwiches dry? You nasty.

This is my ideal sandwich:

Wheat bread
Oil dressing
Mayo dressing
pepperjack cheese
lettuce
tomatoes, if I am the mood for tomatoes
onions
olives
jalapenos
green peppers
then add chicken
and hot sauce.

Now I'm hungry.

Also, at work lately I've been making this awesome veggie sandwich. Ingredients:

Wheat sliced bread
red pepper mayo dressing
pepperjack cheese
green peppers
onions
jalapenos
hot sauce
heavily toasted.

:jess:

As a WNYer, I am a huge fan of hot sauce.

Ham, turkey, salami(more of it then the rest), and peper Aolie sauce. Of course its the sauce that really makes it. But that seems to be the best combo of meat to match it.

You guys overcomplicate your poor sandwiches or is it because I'm British and we make boring sandwiches. The sandwiches you describe are something I'd get fro Subway. Personally.

Whole grain bread and a piece of chicken. I seriously can't stand sandwhiches that are over-packed with crap that does nothing for your health. Dressings. If there's something I dislike more, I have yet to discover it.

Curry dressing is quite possibly the most disgusting thing in the history of dressings. :(

My favorite sandwiches tend to be on piece of baguette, with chedder, turkey, and tomato. I'm fairly simple when I make my own. Lately I've fallen in love with ever roast chicken and asiago cheese.

I'm starting to get burned out on turkey sandwiches. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are amazing (as long as it's smooth and not chunky peanut butter gross gross GuardianXIII). A ton of pepperoni and american cheese is also really good. Or, you know, just cheese... american, colbyjack, mozzarella, cheddar, whatever you can find. Pile it in and on it and just devour.

Thick cut bacon from the butcher, home made bread and some butter. UNF (that's the sound i make when I JIMP (jizz in my pants))

I don't like mayo or most sandwhichey fillings so I usually stick to some meat and maybe things like mushrooms and peppers and things.

You know, ejaculate is a general term. It could be ejaculate from anything, like a ketchup bottle or salt shaker.

(Though in this case I am definitely referring to my baby-juice)

Either:

Honey-roast ham
Colby cheese (cheddar will have to do otherwise)
Hot egg, whisked up and cooked via microwave so that the yolk spreads and it melts the cheese.
Lettuce.
Salad dressing / mayonnaise of some sort.

Or, microwaved:

Vegemite
Cheese

I like the club sandwich

3 pieces of toast, iceburg lettuce coated in mayo, cold cooked chicken pieces & 2 rashers of well cooked bacon. 1st piece of toast place luttuce mayo on top followed by bacon, place 2nd piece of toast on top then again place lettuce mayo on this followed by cold chicken then top with 3rd piece of toast and enjoy!
